Please don't put any spoilers in. I am aware the last series goes a little strange. But that's all I know.

AS I had a few days off helping the wife after a op she had I downloaded all the first 3 series on sky. I don't have much time to watch TV but we managed in less then a week to watch the first series as I am really enjoying it as is the wife.

if you have not seen it then watch it. Going well at the moment just hoping the last series is not as much of a let down as I hear. And i'm not trying to find out anything about this but I can remember hearing lots about it 10 years ago when it started

So give it a go if your have never seen it

The writers soon got bored and it became rubbish. I watched it when it first came out and made it not much further than you.

I was gripped by lost while it was first airing and really enjoyed watching it all. I might have preferred a different ending, but I wouldn't have known what to suggest to the writers. I didn't really want it to end at all.

One thing which really struck me was that there were podcasts and discussions going on t'internet while it was on in a way I hadn't seen before. That helped me become immersed in the experience and made it richer. It's easy to criticise... yes, the story is a bit silly and far fetched, but it's entertainment and I chose to suspend disbelief, get stuck in and enjoy it - never regretted doing that, it was fun.

I watched the whole thing.

If I ever meet one of the writers, I'm going to kick him in the nuts.

Started off amazing and immersive but the ending basically takes a massive $hit on your brain.

I was mostly annoyed that the writers claimed, at the beginning, that they had the ending all mapped out but once people started guessing what that might be it became obvious that they either had absolutely no idea, or they decided to abandon their idea because someone had guessed it.

Consequently the ending, this whole last series in fact, was rubbish really.

I can't stop now.

We are on series 2 episode 5 so understand about the numbers as why they are used. Still don't know what would happen if they don't put the numbers in every 108mins but will find out

Ah the numbers.... rolleyeslaugh

I managed to watch it all originally and then again on Netflix (apart from the last season!)

Gets a bit daft in the last season and the ending is a bit pointless ... but the rest of it is GREAT with awesome quotes and memorable scenes and characters! thumbup

You certainly will!

I loved Lost. And didn't think the last season what that bad at all. It was what it was. It finished stories off and was quite cathartic.

There were people who said the end of Battlestar Gallactica was crap, and the end of Breaking Bad was crap too...

In short, without spoilers, Lost has got some fantastic characters, with the hook being the whole mystery which is usually drip-fed to you or revealed in a 'wow' moment - of which there are a few!

You can go back and pick holes, however the way these US series run in an economic capacity means that there are constraints the story must fit into.

I enjoyed Lost when it was shown for the first couple of series, then it went downhill but you had to watch to see if anything actually got answered Then it got even more stupid and finally was very very annoying.

My young daughter just started watching this and understands more than I do it seems: The Polar bear was there for example because anything that Walt reads / visualises comes to life. I may get her to watch the rest of the series to explain other things to me smile

Pretty much as everyone else has said... Great for the first few seasons but really loses the plot towards the end and doesn't offer any form of closure in the final few episodes. Just opens up even more questions and doesn't answer any of the massive plot twists they opened and never returned to.

Basically felt as if we had wasted our time even bothering to watch the series after the last episode had aired. A complex and mind boggling story that even the writers didn't even know how to finish.

Such a shame.

I watched it when it was first shown and got bored after series 3. It becomes tedious and you can tell the writers are deliberately stringing it out.

I watched the first few series when it was on Channel 4, then it went to Sky. I'm happy not to see the rest of it.

Effected by the big "writers strike" at the time iirc.

So basically finished by totally different writers that started it.

I feel sorry for the OP, for the disapointment and anger he will feel in due course.

How Lost should have ended (No spoilers in it)
