For me it makes a nice change to watch a TV comedy that feels fresh and funny. Loads of the post friends comedies from the U.S. are limping along now and the newer ones Ive seen on Sky feel forced with weak tired scripts and characters we've seen before. Modern Family still works due largely to talented scriptwriters.

Sharon Horgan has written and starred in some good comedies over the past few years, worth checking out if you haven't seen them.

I really liked the scene where he gave her the engagement ring - whoever thought that one up was a genius. I p***ed myself laughing.

Well written and interesting characters. Reminds me of Man Down for some reason. Hope Ashley Jensen's character is developed.
