Why are there loads of Brits living in Norway in the middle of nowhere?

I thought the mystery was why the lady from The Killing unzipped her coat twice in Gambon's flat?

1st episode was poor but benefit of the doubt. 2nd episode no better.
No 3rd for me.

Why have we got an American DCI working for the Met, who seems to have a sideline in Forensic Pathology?

I'll have to suspend credulity in the hope of seeing another fit bird in the sauna.

These commissioning bods must be thick, I mean this is very poorly presented, it could have been interesting in a great location but it takes he viewer for a knob and a genius throughout - cant anyone see this?

Same with Broadchurch 2 - 1 was a success so make up any old crap and call it Broadchurch the knobs will watch it - amazing.

It might be set on the Norwegian island of Svalbard. but from looking at the cast list I can't see anyone who's Norwegian, there's Denmark, Italy, Iceland, British (lots), American, Spain, Northern Ireland (quite a few including the Sheriff), Zimbabwe, Romania, Singapore, Sweden. Even the character in the cast list tagged as "Drunk Norwegian" isn't, he's from Kent hehe

Am I the only one enjoying it?

There's always something to moan about with a TV show, the complexity of the first episode was very interesting I thought. Episode 2 was more laying the story down and it's looking very good IMO. The hottie in the sauna was an obvious bonus!

Much like the nationalities of the cast list I'm finding the story line all over the place, utterly bizarre at the moment, clearly very expensive, but utterly bizarre. I'm going to stick it out a little longer and hope it clarifies like the fine consommé it's clearly intended to be.

Watched both the opening double header and the latest episode last night, I really like it and so does the OH.

I did wonder half way through the first episode where they might be heading (the missus turned to me and said 'this isn't a horror is it?') but the last episode seemed to be a little more normal.

I did wonder whether I had a dodgy copy of the first hour at first, having read the thread I realise it was supposed to be a little 'erratic'!

Normally binge watch series once they have finished, will have to watch this the normal way frown

Same here - trying out my free NowTV trial and this was one of the first things I spotted to watch. The first episode concerned me a bit, but it seems to be warming up now and getting interesting, if a little erratic. I'm going to keep watching.

The second thing I watched was The Following, which is a massive pile of st. So a 50% success rate so far laugh

At the moment I'm really loving this. OK I agree some things don't seem to make sense or even seem silly but I love the mood of the place. It reminds me a bit of The Revenants - eerie and not really making sense.

I don't like it but will watch it again tonight and then tell everyone on PH tomorrow how much I don't like it.

Oh ps off. Yours is the kind of moronic stpost which clogs up every thread here, not least of course that on Top Gear. Would you prefer every thread to consist of untramelled adoration for the programme under discussion or is it okay with you if some posters are critical to a greater or lesser degree?

More to the point, it seems like several of us in here (me included) saw 2 episodes & won't ever need to see another.

I'm giving it one more chance.
But am pretty sure it's not going to get another viewing.
I would be happy to be proved wrong.

Look, I'm sorry that you happen to be a Welsh, but there's no need to take it out on me

I've unlinked it, but MrsHogg wants to give it one more chance to redeem itself. wink
