I enjoyed it.
The bit I'm musing about is why the helicopter pilot was covered in blood after his encounter with the hotel receptionist lady.
Presumably there'll be quite a lot of retrospective scenes as Christopher Ecclestone only had to say a few lines then lie on the floor looking a bit disemboweled.

can someone have a stab at explaining why he was dead when he was found, yet an hour later, he was alive.
then when they shocked his heart - he was very much alive.
Something about the wounds restricting blood flow to the head, the (drunk) Sheriff tried the neck for a pulse and found nothing or at least felt nothing but there would have been a very weak pulse.then when they shocked his heart - he was very much alive.
Ps, The Dr doesn't die, he regenerates. Look out for David Tennant in the next episode
I watched, didn't so much enjoy it, but it was intriguing if nothing else, too much going on though, bears, mammoths, murders, affairs...just too much.
Tried too hard to give all the characters air time, as though they know they're on borrowed time with the budget and can't take time developing them.

I think underneath the glacier is a giant cavern holding a giant, fake spaceship, the incumbents of which think they are heading for a new planet in order to save mankind. It was one of the people from the lower decks that crept out and killed the Professor. It's obvious really when you think about it.....
Can't understand people giving up on it so soon, the premise is only being just being set.
It'd be a bit st if all the answers were given away in the first episode.
Really enjoyed it, loads of threads going on and it could go any way at the moment (daft monster flick included.
Sherrif reminds me of Tom Skeritt in Picket Fences.

Well yeah, since he was already inside Ecclescakes' house and hadn't alerted the dog, whereas Badger Guy had to break in.
Maybe he got in via one of the gaping plot holes that seem to riddle this show.

The last we saw of him before returning with bloody clothes he was balls deep in the fit bird!
I had presumed it was her time of the month, but maybe I'm wrong
I like it as it offered so many ways for this to go. Looking forward to tonight.
'Spoilered' the below but it's all what happened in the first ep.
Perhaps Ecclestone saw the Mountain Rescue chap at it?
Mountain Rescue guy won't say where he went as he was busy with the other chick.
Sheriff was dodgy and in the room, possibly drunk at the time.
Councillor got the (bad) news her fancy hotel might not get the go ahead.
Those guys wanted to sell the carcass to Mr Ecclestone. Didn't they mention they would try and 'fright' him?
