Totally agree, if you look back on this thread you'll see I enjoy the programme but come on, it is worth taking the piss out of Quentin and his odd way of expressing 1275 GT hehe

Seemed a poor editing choice to have 2 separate articles on the 911 in the 1 show. Ludicrous idea to have the pagoda going around the race track too. Despite the TBird appearance, prob the EP I enjoyed least.

And for getting his facts wrong - he said that the 1275GT had twin carbs, in fact it had a bog-standard 55bhp Austin/Morris 1300 power unit with a single SU.

All this thread proves is that some people have trouble spelling out numbers laugh

Just caught up with this weeks (5 on demand) and after missing a couple I think Jodie's performance is more natural than in the first one but QW does look more err vampire-esque!

I'd recommend watching it as a recording or on demand as you can whizz through the adverts and any boring "banter" twixt Jodie and QW.

Pluses:

1. IT'S ABOUT CARS!

2. The photography is pretty decent

3. It's not trying to be Top Gear (well perhaps the bit about Bruno lapping a car each week)

4. Would you really they just slotted in another soap/reality show?

Hope it has legs (though Jodie's pins are worth a quick perv). thumbup

I watch it on catch up and fast forward the QW studio bits. It has definitely got a lot going for it and hopefully it will last more than one series and develop into a must view programme.

The 1275GT wasn't "twin carbed" as QW stated either!

I would have put money on them having a pair of SU's. Am I thinking of the mighty 1300 GT.

I prefer it to TG. But then again, I'd rather see an old car on the road than a £200k Ferrari skidding around on a track. And at least it's not like a poor copy of Some Mothers Do Ave Em.

Yes you are, the 1300GT had twin carbs; the 1275GT had the Austin/Morris 1300 unit with a single SU.
