Not too sure about the aftermarket stainless steel exhaust. It appeared to have a dent in it!
Amazed by Jodie Kidd skills with a rally car. She looked like a natural. I'm surprised she's not taken racing seriously a la Chris Boardman. I seem to remember she was also pretty handy in a Abarth 500 at Silverstone Classic some years ago.
She raced in the Maserati Trofeo series for about 4 years but had a big shunt so she stopped. Amazed by Jodie Kidd skills with a rally car. She looked like a natural. Don't know when these programmes were filmed but the prices quoted seem very low
Just caught up with the last program , PCH ,WHAT A DRIVE !! did that a few years ago in a Shogun Sport , car crap ,drive fantastic When was it filmed ? well if you look at the Fiat 500 Jenifer Saunders was driving , the tax expred 11/13 , so either it was being driven on trade plates or untaxed

Jodie Kidd in the real out of studio clips is rather good. Her genuine reactions on that highway drive was great lots of fun
Yep, just give her a good car and let her go. It's like she's discovering it all by herself.Which she is.
It's like taking a girlfriend for her first 'real' drive in a quick car.

Still enjoying some of the items but JK magically turning off QW's screen when he's recommending what cars may be worth investing in is becoming predictable and tedious as is the start where they vanish into the underground bunker. I hope that there's another series but without the dumbing down included.
It's OK if you're a petrolhead, and understand these things, but for any rookie looking in, the term SL must have been confusing. The SL monika has been used since 1955 through to today.
Throughout the show QW referred to the R107 as the SL without any acknowledgement of the fact that there have always been other SL models. Annoyed me.

I have to say I'm really enjoying the show so far. I like Quentins presentation and even Jodie's studio bits are improving (slightly). The Pacific Coast Highway segment was great.
Downsides? The stupid CGI computer screen thing is pretty lame, as is the 'secret underground base'. A couple of tweaks and it could be a great car show. It's a refreshing antidote to Top Gear.

Rookie Mistake - you drive DOWN the PCH not up! That way the car is on the coast side of the road, plus most of the best views are as you head south.
That's the way I did it many years ago, north to south; it was the best road trip I've ever done. Pity they missed out mentioning so many of the great places en route, Hearst Castle for example but it made me want to do it again. While I was watching the start of the programme I was trying to figure what it reminded me of, all that sprang to mind was the opening to 'The Prisoner'. Anyone else think that?

Or more likely it doesn't get used much & they've re-taxed it but not bothered to remove the old tax disc seeing as you don't get one to display now.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
