While I respect your opinion you should not be so conceited as to think it could influence the minds of others.

Very pleased I do have a off button on tv. Now I have watched It I will not watch or complain again about it. I just thought I would share my personal opinion of the show. The only reason I posted a reply was to help other people who may be thinking of potentially watching the show make a decision if they would enjoy the show. The show is not for me at all but others may enjoy it.
and about 29 pages late......

I'm rather less than sympathetic to Jodie Kidd's wooden-ness, after reading she's a bit of a cowbag to the general public in real life (at least I haven't found any "Jodie Kidd is lovely when you meet her" stories. Quentin apparently is a decent chap, on the other hand. For someone who apparently knows a lot about cars, she seems permanently surprised and impressed when QW reveals some fact or other that most people who know about cars already know.

He was an after dinner speaker at a event I attended a couple years back. While upsetting some of the champagne socialists in the audience with his opinions he did mingle freely, chatted with everyone and was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about motoring and cars.

I like the fact he would speak his mind then and not be afraid of upsetting people. I used to know someone who's husband bought a Jeep Cherokee off him some years back - said he was a nice fella but did seem to assume she knew nothing about cars and spoke to the husband more.

Ben Collins' feature was informative and interesting, but why was Will Best there? I thought they'd got rid of him. He's a prick.

Also, good luck finding a Stag for £5k. I don't imagine you'd find a decent one for less than £8k, and that's being optimistic.

1. Jodie looks very nice tonight
2. I saw Alex Riley in Brewdog in Bristol on Saturday while I was having a pint.
3. I want an Esprit.

1) Jodie looked absolutely amazingly superb.

2) Jodie very, very nearly binned that Esprit in the wet.

I like the show, but the scripted interaction between the two is nothing less than cringeworthy!

I am not at all impressed with this show. It is a attempt at a version of top gear using classic cars. The road trips are nothing about the cars. They are all about the food they are eating and the places they go. Fair enough but would like more details about the car. The studio stuff is very cringe worthy with Jodie and Quentin attempting banter that does not come off in any way. I must admit I will not be watching this again. In my personal Opinion Top gear was the best and always will be. Watching programs like this makes me so sad to see such a poor car programme on tv. I would rather there be no car programmes on tv than rubbish like this and 5th gear. Top gear did have it faults but at least it was a genuinely good programme to watch for car lovers and people who had no interest in cars. Both types of people would regularly enjoy the show. I am unsure this show will ever be successful. I am also concerned with the marketing that will soon arrive from Quentin trying to sell me a overpriced car warranty claiming that a new engine will cost me 3 million pounds.
Totally agree it is cringeworthy beyond belief. Wilson has developed the most obsequious manner and Jodie Kidd, well what can you say? She is a hopeless wooden presenter with a modest knowledge of cars. I recorded all the shows but I can't get through one without feeling slightly ill. This despite the fact that all the content looks fantastic on paper. Watched the one about the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and on the way from Nice to Monaco they passed through towns in the wrong order. Just shows that there is little thought in the production just a rushed attempt to make some cash and get a few jollys on expenses.

I think I posted a while ago I'm not a fan of the secret layer type stuff when clearly they are in the above ground wind tunnel at brooklands, and the scripted lines between the 2 main presenters however the pieces about the cars are very informative.

I am visiting the parents at present so switched it on and I knew my father would watch it, but found my mother who wouldn't watch top gear, watching the whole programme now that's pretty hard to do on anything that isn't downton abbeyesque!!
