QW is one of the few men I've seen who can actually mince while sitting down. looks like the advertisers are pulling out.

I think this Video kind of somes up the desperation for viewers of this show. Quentin Wilson mentioned several times he spent 25 grand on a car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hwcU8nVlgU I don`t dislike Mike Brewer. However he was really trying to sell The classic car show to everyone. Also really sad the way Quentin mentioned he was using many top gear Camera men. What a sad act he really is.

First episode had virtually no advertisers. The later ones have had very few in the first few breaks and most in the last break (although 1 is always his cover plan thing).

Only if you're a big fan of TG. I'm quite curious about behind the scenes stuff myself so his calling it "the cold war that is TG" was quite intriguing.

I watched that vid up to 2.5 minutes where Quentin mentions the top Gear cameramen.

What's the big deal ?...They probably wanted to quit the politics of the BBC and were happy to get onto another

car show.

You just have a big downer on this show,it's not THAT bad.

No, it isn't. It's just a different format with different presenters and a different approach. Like any new show on a subject with which we're all familiar, it takes getting used to. I'm sure it will evolve into a perfectly good show, it's not THAT bad as it is.

It isn't that bad - i'd rather watch this than Classic Car Rescue with that awful shouty Bernie whatever his name is! But was this week the last episode? This was the 10th show out of what I thought was a 10 week run......they didn't say it was the last one mind.

You'll be glad to know there's 13 episodes to this series.

Hopefully it gets another series. Whilst I've moaned about its quirks, content wise I feel it strikes a good mix to make it enjoyable for all. And for me I found it more enjoyable than fifth gear or the last few seasons of top gear. And far better than a Chris Harris video.

I agree. It's no different to Top Gear when Clarkson started it in its new format. They changed the team slightly, dropped a few ideas that got boring e.g. the Cool Wall. and refined it. I'm sure that if they got another run, the interaction between Jodie and Quentin would become more natural and they could drop the secret lair nonsense and the interactive screen stuff. Other than that I think it works well.

But lose Will Best and the "Talking head" of that Esquire editor bloke.

Can't believe what he said this week re' people applauding a DB5 in the cinema.

I'd say Alex Riley is one of the standout presenters and to me is the presenter that encourages non petrol heads to watch. It's a very light hearted yet informative presenting style.

QW has always had that odd way of talking to camera (at least when I remember him on TG etc). Just that it seems a bit more exaggerated now. He knows his stuff though. Although any talk of values is rendered hopeless by the time lag from filming to screening.

Because the series seems to have been filmed and then sold to channel 5, there was nothing they could have done about any ongoing criticism as the show goes on. Hopefully if they get a second series (which they should do), they can deal with that.

I personally really like all the films etc they show, its just the stuff in the studio that does my head in and Bruno Senna going around the MB track seems a bit pointless, but I like him.
Jodie is miles better out of the studio, much more relaxed and natural

Jodie is more at home doing the in car stuff, looks relaxed talking to cameras while doing the driving stuff. Bruno Senna is great, he's good on Sky's F1 analysis too, I guess he's a natural, perhaps give him more driving pieces. Alex Rielly seems to split opinion but he seems genuinely interested so I suppose that's not a bad thing. QW won't change and it's his program so if they get a 2nd series and just drop the hidden lair and interactive screen bit then I'd say good luck to them.
