The Classic Car Show - Channel 5
Discussion
I found the Ben Collins segment on the Aston Martin really watchable and think he could do a lot more presenting. He came over to me as knowlegable without being condescending.
I cant get the attraction of Jodie Kidd although I will agree she has nice legs!
Overall I think that although it could be good it needs a bit of polishing and tweaking which hopefully they will be able to do in a second series.
I have seen Alex Riley presenting a Caravan Show before and while he is watchable I find the bits he does in this boring and needlessly over the top

I don`t think this show will get a second series. Advertisers have pulled out after the first few shows when viewing numbers have dropped significantly Channel 5 make all there money from advertising revenue. Unfortunately due to the poor viewing numbers for this show there are not many companies that would pay to advertise while this show is on. It is a shame really we need decent car shows on tv and as others have said this could have been made into a decent show. Get rid of Jodie Kidd and quentin ahole. drop the interactive computer screen stuff. Don`t feature the Judas that is Ben collins. Change the format. change the cars they feature. In fact change everything. Then it may be at least watch-able Dunno what is worse this or 5th gear to be honest. But if 5th gear keeps getting another series this should. They are both dreadful shows. But 5th gear is no better than this one.

Not true - there were virtually no advertisers on the first couple of shows. I remember, as we had a good laugh about that in our house. There are certainly more advertisers in the breaks now.So Chaz1234 has made just four posts since joining P'Heads and all on this thread, criticising the show. Looks like he's got an axe to grind. Perhaps he's an ex-Channel 5 employee who was overlooked as a camerman by Quentin.
Why else devote so much effort into something you don't like!

Interesting theory Rich! However anyone connected at all with UK television would know that talk about advertisers withdrawing from a specific programme due to poor ratings is complete nonsense. Why else devote so much effort into something you don't like!

Well he was to the top gear team after writing that book
So he put an end to a childish well-past-its-sell-by-date joke by owning up to it being him. And they sacked him for it. Didn't do his career any harm I suppose. and the way they reacted on TG was predictably infantile. Anyway, this isn't a thread about a programme that used to be about cars, aimed at Loaded readers.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
