Starting Monday, a new reality show.

It's back to basics for 20 volunteers.

Apparantly it all goes wrong from the off and promises to be compelling viewing! We'll see.

Living as stone age people, so a life span of 27, cannibalism, under age sex and extreme violence?

What is this, the new series of benefits street?

Ah, another "Let's put a group of people in an artificial situation and see how they can't cope" show.

A carefully selected group to ensure conflict, with some clearly not going to cope.

Sounds like another rehash. Anyone remember castaway from about 1999?

I recall that. I liked it. I liked the revamp from a few years ago too. Much better format.

Or Living in the Past from the 70s?

I might be mis-remebering, but I think it was in that where a bloke took to wandering around naked. And it lasted a year! Reality TV was done properly back then.

Thanks for this! I remember watching and enjoying this and couldn't remember what it was called and have never heard anyone else talk about it either.

Loved The great egg race and The adventure game too 😄

They did it better in the sixties - without the push-up bras.

Finally got around to watching the first couple of episodes. Utterly hilarious. Like Big Brother but without any modern conveniences.

I can't remember the naked bloke but I do remember the vast majority of the participants were vegetarian (a lot rarer then) and they got very upset when a pig was slaughtered.

I'm very unhappy with the way the alleged assault has been handled. The guy was publicly accused of something by somone who had garnered support before bringing it to either his or the teams attention.

She then looks happy as larry in his company whilst the rest of the camp are discussing his alleged behaviour as fact.

if he assaulted her she states hy would she be happy i his company, why is she unwilling to follow it through withe the legal process, and why have Channel 5 ruined this chaps reputation when the accuser isnt willing to press charges.

The whole thing has just been an exercise in looking like a tit imo.

The only one who 'got' it at all was Paul, looking to sustain to a strong end, rather than simply survive to the end point but be able to go no further without dying.

Instead the little blonde nazi would rather everyone *just* survive till the end walking around near to death, rather than them go out on a high energy high even weeks before the 'end', trying to really play the game for what it should be.

But now Paul has gone, because I suppose ratings were low and the young lass was asked to make something half interesting happen, or she came onto him and was rejected so now he is the one going and falling on the shame-offset sword.
Or maybe it is as she said, but she is the most happy and jovial looking person to have been upset by being molested I've ever seen.

Something doesn't ring right.

I was hoping eventually the right people would rise to the top and make interesting TV, but instead it's just a bunch of retards, with the only person worth watching now gone for the wrong reasons.

And that 'leader' right at the start. What a plonker. How people can go on TV and create such a bad advert for themselves is beyond me. His leaving statements were terrible, and the weeks of 'easy' time they had at the start were totally wasted by fannying around.

Yup, pretty much agree with everything said above^

What a dissapointing series that never really got going. Episode after episode of multiple people leaving, various people getting far too fatigued and ill to be of any use and most of the barely learning any skills.

They needed more help from the off, more training and preparation and probably more people in there with a genuine interest in survival/hunting/outdoors living to make it work properly.

Paul took it seriously, put his all in and seemed to learn skills and what not, shame about the allegations (true or not).

Surviving until the end by eating a few berries desperately rationing out the bits of food given to them by the producers is not really good tv and definitely not a success for the series.

Maybe they'll try again and do it properly. Only really carried on watching it as I wanted to see how the reacted and coped with a successful hunt of something large (boar/deer) but it never happened.

I'm looking on 5OD for the last one, but it's not there. Was there one on Tuesday night?

As for the lass claims, my wife said that maybe she is looking for a claim to fame. Get into some magazines and become a new-age 'celebrity'... though I think the show has been such an anti-climax that no one will know who she is any way as few have probably watched it.

Yep, that snow storm was the worst thing to happen. They all went back in and got a bail-out that'd last them to the end in theory. So that is what most of them aimed for. They've missed the entire point and rather than succeeding in my view, they have just wasted months of their life failing to do what the show was all about.

Even catching just one or two rabbits and it'd have been half a success... but crayfish, mice and worms is just a joke.

My 2p for a future version.

Make it 6 months, keep the expert on hand to give advice throughout if required, but let the others 'do'...

6 months will weed out the people who think a 2 month stint is easy, which it is really. And keeping good advice in will mean it's not a complete failure once the provided food runs out!
