Peckham multiplex it is then, for the authentic viewing experience.
Sounds like a plan.

Maybe a spot of rioting afterwards?
Bit far for me, I'll be heading to the one in Wandsworth - I survived watching Adulthood there a few years ago, that was an experience and a half! Proper audience shouting/clapping etc throughout, really added to the film hehe

I was interested in this project, once I saw the trailer I got quite giddy, it looks fantastic.

I think I was only 16 when NWA appeared, hadn't heard anything like it so raw and in your face yet told a story. It's a shame that modern hip-hop seems to have lost its way, the old stuff is magic.

Can't wait for this film.
Yep, Mobb Deep used to be my favourite.

I do really like Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler the Creator at the moment, but that stuffs a lot different musically, their lyrics are really good though.

Is he though or is he a facade? Lots of trouble surrounds him but he's never actually been a proper 'gangbanger'.

There's a great documentary on Netflix about the TuPac and Biggy murders and he features on it, he is exposed as full of it, especially when they visit him in prison.
I may have to watch that, I've only heard the stories, dangling Vanilla Ice over a balcony, liberating Dr Dre from a record contract with a baseball bat etc. Of course, many of the Death Row guys were involved in serious crime - you see Snoop doing car insurance adverts these days, most people would never believe he was a driver in a drive-by shooting.

I had this link saying 12th March http://www.songkick.com/artists/251138-mobb-deep

Now that I've clicked the link within it, it does indeed say 2nd May.

Something to look forward to, although nobody has got back to me wanting to go yet hehe

Haha I know what you mean. I'll be there regardless. We went to the one at the Forum many moons ago and that was a pretty good show.

Worth a watch it features the officers on the case to solve it, one of which was VERY dodgy, infact he went to prison and is now a private detective. Lots of accounts from people there worked for them, Suge etc.

When they interviewed Suge in prison he seemed more of a mouthpiece than a bad man.

His arrest the other week may show he has run out of cronies.

Apparently it was supposed to be in March but was postponed. I'm going as well. It should be a good night.

Saw this last night, thought it was great a few bits missed here and there but captured the era and scene well! Although I'm from small town Dorset, not Compton so cannot really compare!

Anyone else watched it?

Yeah I saw it last night. I felt it was slightly overlong in length and I didn't understand how the various business dealings worked but I really enjoyed it.
