Thanks for sharing, been hearing about this for a while, good to see the trailer, really looking forward to seeing this. I was 12 when I first heard their Straight Outta Compton Album, jaw dropped in amazement thinking "They SWEAR in this rap????" (sheltered upbringing )
It was the group that got me into the rap music scene in a big way.

I'd like to see this. Suge Knight killed a man and seriously injured another recently after an altercation on the set of the film, reversed over them in his pickup. You don't mess with Suge, he is from the era when the rappers actually were dangerous men, not men pretending to be dangerous.

Is he though or is he a facade? Lots of trouble surrounds him but he's never actually been a proper 'gangbanger'.
There's a great documentary on Netflix about the TuPac and Biggy murders and he features on it, he is exposed as full of it, especially when they visit him in prison.
Anyone that can hang Vanilla Ice over a balcony by his ankles is a double hard bd in my books. There's a great documentary on Netflix about the TuPac and Biggy murders and he features on it, he is exposed as full of it, especially when they visit him in prison.

I can't wait for this!
Even if the film turns out to not be quite as good as the trailer suggests, at least we know the soundtrack will be absolutely biblical.
For those that like hip hop but have never watched 'Notorious' then I highly recommend it. The actors are excellent for a start off. It was much better than I thought it would be.

I'll definitely watch it at home once it's on Sky Movies, don't fancy a trip to the cinema as it'll attract the sort of person I wouldn't want to associate with
Having been into NWA/Cube/Dre since '88 it should be a good watch. Hope it's better than 'Notorious', which was bloody awful!

I have no idea where you live, but I suspect when it comes to my local multiplex I strongly suspect it will be filled with virtually 100% white, middle class people in their late 20's to late 30's... And I can't see them being much of a threat!NinjaPower said:

Peckham multiplex it is then, for the authentic viewing experience.NinjaPower said:

very true. Certainly won't be as intimidating as when I, then a white middle-class twenty-something, went to a DMX gig in Longsight, Manchester

As good a song as Juicy was it wasn't as big as people make it out to be. Most hip hop fans will claim other songs as being greats long before that one.
I was interested in this project, once I saw the trailer I got quite giddy, it looks fantastic.
I think I was only 16 when NWA appeared, hadn't heard anything like it so raw and in your face yet told a story. It's a shame that modern hip-hop seems to have lost its way, the old stuff is magic.
Can't wait for this film.
