I have no idea where you live, but I suspect when it comes to my local multiplex I strongly suspect it will be filled with virtually 100% white, middle class people in their late 20's to late 30's... And I can't see them being much of a threat!
laugh very true.

Certainly won't be as intimidating as when I, then a white middle-class twenty-something, went to a DMX gig in Longsight, Manchester hehe
Did you sing along?
Even to the naughty words?

Saw this last night, thought it was great a few bits missed here and there but captured the era and scene well! Although I'm from small town Dorset, not Compton so cannot really compare!

Anyone else watched it?
Compton Abbas?

Even if the film turns out to not be quite as good as the trailer suggests, at least we know the soundtrack will be absolutely biblical.
As in "Christ! Make it end"? wink

Not a fan of rap music at all, and planned to go and see The Man From UNCLE, sadly it was sold out so opted for this.

So glad we did, it was brilliant.

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Like others here, it was nwa and public enemy that pricked my ears up as a kid and got me into rap and hip hop. Think the film has a bit of "artistic licence" but well worth a watch.
Was interested to see the charges that Suge Knight is now up against. Karma maybe? Amazed he"a still around tbh, I'm sure there would be a fair sized queue If they thought they'd get away with it.

I bet it hurt Dre to walk away and give up all his rights back then to Death Row records when he went out on his own. He's laughing now though. The Chronic is still 1 of my all time favourite albums.
