By all accounts the last act of Spectre is a convoluted mess and makes no sense. Let's hope they fix that
So are we going to start slagging it off 6 months before it's even released? rolleyes

By the way, when watching the trailer, did everyone else initially think Mr White said something other than 'kite'?

The people bankrolling it are slagging off the last act, not exactly a vote of confidence, is it?

Did you read the link?

Yes, but this is PH, where you aren't allowed to make any negative comments about anything because a). You've not done said thing better yourself b). The person doing whatever it is has made a lot of money doing it c). IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT WATCH IIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT!!!!!

I agree fwiw. An 'evil brother' plot line is actually the sttest thing I could ever think of. It could only be worse if he was also being played by Daniel Craig but with a beard, to show he's evil.

(Yes I know it's a step-brother or whatever but don't care at all!)

Uh oh, you're in so much trouble now.

But yes...

it sounds nonsense, Bond must be about 10-13yrs old in that skiing photo with his father and Convenient BurntoutFace. You'd think he'd remember having a brother!

And his brother just happens to be the head of an international terrorist organisation? Righto!

Edited to add spoiler tags - I forgot grown men cry about speculation over what might happen in a film that's not been made yet wink

Would you have to use spoiler tags to reveal that James Bond dies in this one??

Even though I've just made it up, it's as possible as anything else I suppose.

I agree completely with what you said in the bits that are spoilered in your post. I can't be arsed doing more tags so will just say that that thing with the slightly singed thing is ridiculous!

Oh sod it, go on then:

I'm assuming the ski photo is his foster dad after his parents are killed mountaineering (even though he didn't have a foster dad in the books) and his adoptive brother will go on to become Blofeld?? Stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Wow. Those ideas do sound terribly terribly bad. Like this idea is from the 80s.

From what else I have read it's possible

the man in the photo is Oberhauser Snr who fostered Bond after his parents died, Bond supposedly looked up to him until he mysteriously disappears which leaves a profound effect on Bond. Waltz is Onerhausers son.

It's all a bit cliche

Yes, seems like a perfectly normal example of the feedback/iteration process to me. Are the writers supposed to st out a fully-formed script that doesn't need any?

The "evil family relation" bit is st though, here's hoping they drop that.

Anyhoo.....crap plot lines and tired cliches aside, what's the latest thinking on who'll be warbling the feem toon?
I've heard rumours of Sam Smith (bit too Cowelly IMHO) through to Paloma Faith or Lana Del Ray, both of whom strike me as a good choice but not different enough from Adele.
Personally, I've always wanted to hear Muse do a Bond song, but they're probably slightly too left field to get a look in.

Agreed, Muse should've got the gig over Adele the song Supremacy was the perfect choice for Skyfall.

Chris Cornell did Casino Royale and it was good.

Lana del Rey would be perfect.

You'd better tell Marky, Richie, Elvis and C. J. then.

Goldfrapp's 'Supernature' album has a couple of tracks that would fit right in as Bond themes. I think they did discuss the idea but the Bond people wanted too much control over the final product. I remember when Paul McCartney was approached to do 'Live and Let Die', they only wanted him to write the song but Macca dug his heels in and said he wanted to perform it as well, otherwise no deal. I wonder who the producers had in mind instead?

Didn't spot that (admittedly I skimmed it through in the office) what are they?
