Anyone else notice the quick sample of a previous Bond theme lurking in the score?
Yep, OHMSS
I wouldn't say specifically OHMSS just the usual Bond signature themes re-arranged.
1:49 in, OHMSS for sure.
Sorry, you're spot on!

As a trailer, that gets 10 out of 10 from me. Classic Bond.

Hmm, I am cautiously hopeful but it all depends on the script. In theory it can't be as bad as Skyfail. Visually and stylistically it will/should be bang on, Craig knows what he's doing and the rest of the cast should be very good.

It's OK, that was an excuse to re-watch in the interests of pedantry.

I am looking forward to this film. A lot.

I missed it at first but it definitely has elements of OHMSS in the score. There seems to be a few nods to old bonds (similar to Skyfall) The white tux, the barron samedi type mask etc.

Yeah, but I'm 12 years older too.

Loved her in "Shoot 'Em Up" too (Am I the only person in the world who likes that film?).

She is still stunning at 50. I would drink her bath water if it helped get a date !

Let me rephrase

when the film becomes all about the gadgets EG Die Another Day, and not Bond him self.

I 100% agree, however it remains to be seen whether Spectre is soaked with ridiculous hardware or if a car with a simple flame thrower is the begining, middle and end of the gadgets...

Lest we forget since Craig David took the helm, all he's had is a gun and a radio....

Craig David?

Bond films have almost always been a mix of action, locations, cars, girls and gadgets. Many would agree that Goldfinger is one of the best, but look at all the gadgets in the DB5.
I'm reluctant to defend Die Another Day, but was the invisible car that much worse than the Esprit turning into a working submarine at the flick of a switch? I reckon that scene turned many young lads into fans of Lotus. Including me.
