I have a major problem with a question from today's show .

The 3rd player 's cash builder round .

Q....Lance Barber played George Cooper senior in Young Sheldon and what other show ?

Answer....The Big Bang theory .........Wrong !

George Cooper senior never appeared in Big Bang theory as Sheldon is an adult and George died when Sheldon was 14 .I don't think he even appears in any flashback moments .

Lance Barber DOES appear in Big Bang theory but he plays Leonard's school bully .

I have watched every episode of Big Bang theory many times ,fairly sure I am right .

Apart from that ,every team member went low ,except the first bloke who got sent home and they were playing for £1333 each ,might as well have been on Pointless ,as Beast likes to have a dig at occasionally .

Here you go, albeit it was in video form.

When I last saw Pointless the jackpot was up near 5 figures.

Jackpot won today - £12750. Divided by two that's about the same as winners in The Chase. It doesn't reach that figure very often.

Just had the weirdest answer ever -

Q A factory in Kracow featured in which Spielberg film ?
A Jaws ?

Plain surreal.

I still reckon the questions get harder the more money they are playing for, obtuse questions more suited to a chaser.

I didn't think their questions were that bad. They should have got more correct.

How many would you have got? I have reasonable general knowledge, comes with age, but any questions on sport or kings of England would floor me, I think everyone has a general knowledge but the chaser remember and retain facts that you or I would just forget, but I do not earn my living as a chaser!

Thought the questions yesterday for the chaser were easy compared to the contestants, playing for £100K.

They select questions A or B but they only appear on Brads screen so how do we know they are not making the questions to suit?

You can guarantee that playing for a big sum the questions will be more difficult.

Sometimes feel they know a good team before they play and therefore the big man is the chaser as he seems to be the most difficult to beat.

Yup, I know I am cynical, my wife tells me smile

I'm still not convinced that Eden (the 20yo who won 75k) was a genuine win, have watched it a couple of times and just doesn't feel right to me with his apparent guesing at answers

I don't think the 'big man' is the most successful chaser ...can't be sure but someone who says 'firty free fousand pounds' is not that clever in my book.

I’m normally predisposed towards cynicism but I very much doubt a main ITV show would indulge in any fraudulent practices. There would be massive consequences if found out, and there would always be the risk of a whistleblower. It just wouldn’t be worth it.

He gives the biggest prizes to goad better contestants to go big, I think you have to be lucky to win on a big money chase, the odds are on the chasers there will be a couple of questions that favour the vast general knowledge of the chaser. He plays the odds that he will beat people.

Cynical ol’ me thinks the programme is controlled by the beancounters smile
