Tonight's.. The old guy taking MINUS £4k, I wouldn't have shaken his hand at all, prick.
Glad they didn't win in the end just because of him.
Minus £4k? How stupid was he?Glad they didn't win in the end just because of him.
Sinner man got a very simple medical question wrong too, surprising.
I love this show and I’ve been watching lots of older episodes on Challenge in recent weeks. I think Bradley Walsh is great.
However, if ever there was a quiz show that did not feel right when playing for charities, for me, this is it!
The episode I watched the other night, which I think was from December 2017, was a celebrity one featuring Al Murray. Jodie Kidd was also on it.
Two players had made it back, including Jodie, and had got £10,000 into the pot. Al Murray was a fantastic player and plumped for the higher offer of £80,000, which he brought back convincingly . The prize fund therefore stood at £90,000, so £30,000 for each of the three players who made it back.
They got a respectable score in the final chase, but were still caught by The Sinnerman. I’m sitting here thinking, “at least we don’t know the charities they were playing for!”, as Bradley announces they’re taking away the £90,000.
However, Bradley then says that, as it is for charity, it isn’t right to send them away with nothing, so they will give them £1,000 each for their respective charities. He then gets them each to name the charity they were each playing for. I am sitting there cringing as they each name a very worthwhile cause (mainly charities for very poor/poorly children), thinking how much better £30k would have been for them...they were literally seconds away.
It was a great episode and I love the concept, but the outcome in this episode was so very wrong!
