I don't think we will be seeing our first entry ever, they are in their 90 's.
I think B of M sang live on the One show in the week though.

Jacket, waistcoat and no shirt for a man of 60 is not a good look.

Riverdance was really a game changer - I don't think Sir Terry, when introducing it really knew how big it would be.

...........................

This is billed as a 60th year celebration but the first one was in 1956 so it's not 60 years.....what am I missing?

It works like this:

Are you British? You lose.

Does your act involve people with some kind of disability, cross dressing tendency, or did your country have the ste bombed out of it recently? You're in with a shout.

Are you Scandinavian and phenomenally hot? Congratulations, you'll be hosting next year's competition.

The bloke that did Riverdance and made a fortune must still wake up every single morning (even today) and piss himself laughing. I bet he still can't believe that he made so much money out of utter ste.

The BBC is already bleating about the effect that cuts to the licence fee that haven't even been mooted yet will have(purely because a conservative had the audacity to question the licence fee), yet year after year is one of the biggest contributors to this Eastern European-dominated, inter state love in, that the UK will never win again.

And for fk's sake, geography was never my strongest subject, but Israel? Part of Europe?! Really? How the actual fk did that happen?

And don't get me started on the £40m that the BBC spunked up the wall for The Voice, which was the primary reason why they ditched half the F1 races to Sky.

The way it's run at the moment, the BBC doesn't deserve the licence fee.

Google. Its quite the thing you know.

Israel is part of the European Broadcasting Union. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Broadcasting...

As is Vatican City and, obviously, Azerbaijan.

Hang on a minute... I'm not going to get into a debate about Israel and geography was one of my worst subjects at school which in itself was many many years ago. I do however have a bit of a nagging doubt that Australia is part of Europe, I'm fairly sure I'd have noticed them sneaking in as they are a bit large to hide.

Now having said that, the buggers better vote for us!

IIRC its a one off as Eurovision is so big down under.
Not sure what would happen if they win though
