The Great F**king British Bake Off has a lot to answer for that.

Is it my imagination that there seems to be more women in this series?

Better standard today.

Oh and Greg picks the one he fancies again.

That Arrabella lass seems a bit mad, I'd still let her mash my spuds though.

I may get flamed for this but, so many of the Asian contsestants fail when they start cooking anything but Asian food.

Wonderful curries etc but it all falls apart once the broaden their horizons and are outside their comfort zone.

They should start penalizing people for being over time - 10 minutes late is taking the piss and not fair to the other contestants.

I was discussing this last night with my OH, it does seem unfair that someone can make a total pigs ear out of their dish because they're rushing, and then the next person takes a few minutes longer.

They should state. 'sorry, times up - plate up what you've got and serve it'

I agree, but Dee's dish was going to be crap even if she had 20 minutes extra and the other guy just completely ignored John and Greg and served 2 dishes on a plate.

Did he just say a fish sausage with cheese and a cheese sauce? Fish and cheese!

Smoked haddock or cod with cheese sauce? (not so easy after those two)

Still waiting for the day we get an Asian contestant who turns round and says "I don't like spicy food - and I fking hate curry" biggrin

We'll be waiting a fair while for that to transpire, me thinks. biggrin

Emma puts a lot of love into her cooking and, it sure seems to be working with the judges. One to watch?

It does seem that way, and there seems to be a lot more "I just lurve cooking for my famerloi" types that want a hack at being called "Masterchef".

I know we say the standard is poor every time this program rolls around, but I'm struggling to think of one real standout chef in this whole bunch.

I am surprised the spice theme failed so many people! Pudding time and feeling hungry again!

The guy that got lost on his way to the Cluedo party was one of the stand out contestants I'd say.

Looks like two of them will easily get fired tonight.
