Once again like last year a certain amount of favouritism going on. If Simon put a turd on a plate Greg would eat it.

I think Pete will be going this evening.

ETA: I only just got that in before the announcement.

Desert disaster for Pete, not a surprising result.

I reckon either Tony or Simon will win. It's hard to separate them on ability, so it'll probably come down to which one makes the fewest mistakes.
The other two aren't quite at the same level.

Pedant alert: surely making fewer mistakes is separation by ability? :0

What's the schedule for this now?

It just seems to be on 'whenever'

Yeah, the scheduling has been terrible, they've just shoved it in any old gap they can find.

To be fair to Simon he's been rock solid every day for a good few weeks now whereas I think everyone else has had at least one shocker and has been lucky to scrape through at some point. I'm rooting for him to win and just hope his mistake doesn't come at the end.

I knew Paul was going to be bloody useless in that professional kitchen, he was the last time too and has learnt nothing about organisation or discipline - watching him fish for answers as to why there was no sugar in the sorbet or the jelly wasn't in the fridge etc etc was painful.

TBH Simon has put on a good show, just don't like the fawning. Paul's dish of steak and chips had no chips apart from those failed puffed potato slices. He should have gone. Have to agree he was dire in the Churchill dinner.

Traditional Scandinavian cooking instead of "scientific" frippery, I like the sound of that.

A re-recorded version of the theme from "Requiem for a Dream", a tad dramatic perhaps.

This Ekstedt place looks amazing. I need to get out there and try it.

Scallop inferno, chef intervention, oh dear.
