Correct result IMHO.

Could be life changing for him and his family. I got the impression he was a single father of 4, so I hope this is a real boost for them.
Wasn't his wife interviewed?

I enjoyed this years Masterchef. The three finalists were all very good, Tony and Simon were just a bit better all the way through. Well done to Simon for winning and for the others for making a decent competition of it.

Just got round to watching and what a fabulous final. Really superb effort from all of them. Rate's as one of the best I have seen.

Really enjoyed this series, 3 very worthwhile contestants and the right winner though Tony was a really really close 2nd imo. Simon seems a really good guy wish him (and the others) all the best.

I sometimes wonder what all the previous Masterchef finalists are now doing. Did they capitalise on their success or stay as they were or what? Perhaps I could tout it to the BBC as a one-off programme.

I know a couple of winners, Thomasina Myers and James Nathan have gone on to have very successful careers.

Just saw the final yesterday night. Top result for the guy. Very modest , nice attitude and went about his business quietly and confidently albeit shakey ! Good luck to him and he deserves all the luck in the world..

Ah. I missed that. Read in the paper today he is a single parent.

I liked him anyway. He was the best one in it

I just watched the final now, it was a well-deserved win, and the right choice from John and Greg. Simon has looked a cut above the rest from the start, and aside from the odd wobble he was making pretty much the best dish in each episode, looking very good in the pro kitchens etc. His food in the final really did look every bit the standard of a good professional chef.
