I thought the way Fuzz did the cambelt change was an excellent idea.
Now it could be quite a common method but as I've never done one (V8's with chains) it seemed a sensible way to me.
Seemed a bit of a faff to cut all the way around the belt like that, when the marks are clear to get right, it is just born of paranoia of getting it wrong. Now it could be quite a common method but as I've never done one (V8's with chains) it seemed a sensible way to me.

Think I must have got some dust in my eye at the end there.
It did seem to take a massive leap in progress but looked awesome when it rolled into the NEC.
As said above - the series seems to have taken a massive leap forward too.
Just watched this on Sky+. I'll have to have a word with the wife for not dusting the living room, I was almost blubbering with the dust! It did seem to take a massive leap in progress but looked awesome when it rolled into the NEC.

I've only really just caught up with this show, been watching a couple of episodes a day recently. I love it, Fuzz rivals a certain Mr China as all round top blokes you'd want working on your car, and Tim Shaw does overdo the cheeky chappy stuff a bit but seems to know his stuff and is a good presenter.
However, what I love about it, especially the earlier series is the reveal to the owners at the end, it makes you realise how a car can become more than an object or possession. The emotions are just wonderful most of the time. Not so keen on the latest, take it to the auction for the money spin on it.
I admit the deadline stuff I can take or leave, although I do get the feeling that it is actually very genuine and that last day before the reveal is always an all nighter!
Anyone on here been involved, or know anyone? Are the timescales legit? Are the restorations as immaculate and loving as it seems? The series must cost a fortune, how is it all financed as there's no selling the car on a la Wheeler Dealers.

Nice little Lancia that, the colour looked amazing as it was rolled into the workshop.
It is kind of hard to take the deadlines seriously while seeing all the other projects from the series scattered around the place waiting for bits.
The paint job did look fantastic. It is kind of hard to take the deadlines seriously while seeing all the other projects from the series scattered around the place waiting for bits.
That Ford Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac doesn't seem to have progressed throughout the whole series.

...If they could remove the stupid 'blagging' parts it would be an excellent programme.
As I was fast forwarding through the "comedy" moments (and the adverts) I realised how seldom I watch live TV these days, and how much time I save by not watching the crap bits. Edited by gareth_r on Friday 8th April 12:03
