Saw a beautiful burgundy QPV on the M6 yesterday, still hankering after one.
I owned one. This one. I miss it still. The earlier duo-select cars are well into WD budget now, I'd love to see them have a pop at one.
The duo-select is a pain in the arse. Useless, frail, eats clutches and stupid.
I'd wait and buy an auto if I were you. A wonderful machine. Even with its many faults, if i didnt equally love my 964, I'd have another one in an instant!
But, only in burgundy (can't remember the Italian name for it) with a cream interior.

Quest had the Defender one on from years ago.
£2k on some piece of manure Defender
Spent £3.7k painting it a 2010 colour , alloys, side windows, facelift grill and light surrounds and a few extras
Sold for £6k to some tight arse Northerner. Profit £320
Now thats the Wheeler Dealers of old.

I keep reading what a nightmare they are to keep with all their faults but somehow it's a car that I would love (if I could afford it!).Blib said:

The chap who gave me a ride in his QPV at Brunti last year said steer well clear of the duo-select cars. Have a gander at this ZF example...I'd wait and buy an auto if I were you. A wonderful machine. Even with its many faults, if i didnt equally love my 964, I'd have another one in an instant!

"Ah "Wheeler Dealers" I love the program. A friend of mine was on it once. I won't name the cars involved, but he trades in specific marques of classic cars. The producers called him up and asked him to let them know if he ever got a car in stock that needed "light restoration". A car duly arrived, he called them up and they bought it. Before taking it away, they asked him what it would be worth "restored" and asked him whether he'd buy it back from them at that price. He gave them a figure he'd be happy to buy back at.
When the time came for them to find a buyer, they naturally couldn't put my friend in the frame to be the buyer....and they asked one of his staff to act out that part...which he duly did. To this day, the most amusing part of the story for me is that if one looks in the background of episode 1, the "buyer" from episode 2 can be seen loading the car onto Mike's trusty trailer..."

Still, enough of this. Back to Mike and Edd.
Yes quite, apologies for dragging the topic through an Italian tinged worm hole!
I find myself watching old WDs on my company ipad at work during quiet moments, despite the changes along the way from series to series I'm still picking up useful tips for certain jobs, I just wish I had Ed and Paul's fully equipped workshop too.

Fabulous. I have an ebay saved search for these. The only maroon/cream combo I saw was in NI so I chickened out.
It also won't fit in my garage.
Dreaming...
