How does he get away with that - I thought there were rules about promoting your brands on TV shows?
Over here, yes, they are required to show the "P" logo if they are getting paid-for product placement in the show, on UK made shows etc. but I doubt Mike Brewer is paying for his brand to be shown on the TV, no doubt there will be something in his contract about it.
Edd gets all the t-shirts he wears for free now as well, as people send them in for him.
The Camaro was actually a pretty good episode I thought and I loved the finished car. It was a bit odd though that Ed had the rear axle completely off the car then refitted it and then went on to mentioned difficulty in accessing the rear diff to change it to an LSD. Mike and Ed both explaining what a stroker motor was also seemed odd. It was like the editor fell asleep and did not notice the same explanation was repeated twice.
Still after the Bronco episode where they appeared to replace the entire car halfway through the build and the rather odd Mercedes AMG episode where it really seemed they built a car to order for a specific person this latest one was an improvement.

I liked the bit where Edd showed us how to take the measurements for a new propshaft - and at the same time Mike was away sourcing some suspension parts to raise the body by 2.5 inches.
Plus I am sure that the measurement that Edd read out to camera wasn't the same as the tape measure was showing, although that could have been parallax error. I've enjoyed this series a lot more than the previous American one(s)... especially now they've dropped all the phoney staged "banter" bits. It's still a lot lighter on real content than of old, which is a shame. And even the better episodes such as the Sunbeam Alpine contain plenty of WTF moments... Brabham conceived the Tiger V8 conversion? Errrrmmmm, are you sure it wasn't Shelby then?... Edd loves the little fender light to illuminate the car's running number sooooo much he tells you about it three times. Then fails to re-install it after the respray... the apalling fit of the hardtop is made a feature early on and then never mentioned again...
Despite all the niggles it's still the best car programme curently being shown IMHO and you still get the impression the two protagonists are doing it because they love it rather than because they want to build a global empire of burger joints or sell T-shirts, which has to be a plus point

I think that the little niggles you have pointed out highlight what has been mentioned further above in relation to poor editing, at least from a continuity point of view. A couple of times before as well I have noticed that we appear to drop in on Edd mid-way through a job, but we hadn't had the build up to doing that job. Also this week on the Sunbeam, the "build cost" vale for the exhaust re-work suddenly shot up - when Mike was at the workshop learning about the ceramic coating he said "Its only cost $125, or about 80 quid!" However when we got to the final tally, that had increased to $280-ish dollars, with no explanation.
I'm guessing neither of them really need the money from this show so the producers have to incentivise them somehow:
Producer: "Mike, Ed - how do you fancy spending 6 months making a new series of WD in the UK with crap weather buying bangers on run down estates whilst the local yobs try to assault you?"
or
Producer: "Mike, Ed - how do you fancy spending 6 months shooting WD in California, we'll put you up in a decent hotel and you'll get to explore Western USA and do a few American classics up?"
