I quite enjoyed the Humvee episode, especially them working together on the car at the lot, with just basic tools and no workshop, and no silly banter. If we really have to have Mike working on the cars then I'd much rather it was him and Edd working together than an Edd segment and then a Mike segment.

Once they got it back to the workshop, it rather went a bit downhill. Especially as Edd didn't actually seem to do much - he made a start fabricating the frame and then suddenly BAM! it was pretty much finished in one jump cut, then we saw him make a start on fitting the heater and then suddenly it was all completely finished.

That was a weird episode. Quite enjoyed it, the welded frame was a work of art, but the end result was a bit strange. Everything on the outside and a mattress slung in the back? Surely it would have been better to have everything inside the thing, there was easily enough space.
There didn't look to be a lot of headroom due to the high deck, so I suppose having the sides fold down into bars made some kind of sense. I agree that the mattress slung in the back did seem a little incongruous given the high quality elsewhere.

One thing I noticed is that they talked about putting a winch on it, and also an awning, and then did neither. Seemed like a bit of an omission to me.

True, but when you are fabricating the rear section yourself and have complete control over the height of it, then you could have done something about the headroom biggrin

This! I was really enjoying it, the first half of the show was really interesting then when it went to the workshop it was a case of blink and you'll miss it. Less time spent with Mike getting lessons and then Mike and Edd fannying about drinking champagne and more time spent showing how they did it would be better.

There was something on the roof but no mention of what it was, thought it may have been solar panels but looked black?

Is this the Humvee episode?

It wasn't great.

I watch online so have seen the next two and enjoyed them both quite a bit! So hold on!

I quite like the Humvee episode, found it odd the logo on the car Mike did the off road training in was blurred out on a show about cars. Presume they have sponsorship from some rival brand in the US or something.

Can you imagine how tall it would be with a full height cabin built on the back for someone to stand up in?

I'm not talking about standing up, more sitting in comfort.

Wow. Just Wow.

100+ episodes. Is this one the best?

If you watch it before it's broadcast in UK, no spoilers, but WOW smile.

I thought the episodes were first shown in the UK. Is this not the case?

Yep they don't blur out the"dodge" on the wheel of MB's runabout. I think perhaps also that Dodge sponsor F&L given the amount of crated "hellcat" motors they seem to have lying around?.

I think this is the first time that the US have got WD first. I have a feeling that the we (US) missed out on part of one of the seasons and so caught up.

Again, no spoilers (not that you lot cared when I was behind wink ) but, the last in the season is a bit hmmmm strange. They have teased it already where Ed and Mike are on a vintage car in the UK. It finishes abruptly as if it is the first part of a two part episode but it isn't.

As someone said earlier, they no longer chase a BS profit. They are now playing with cars and projects they want to do.

So there is no episode to see what they did/do with the Cadillac?

Edit: Looks like they didn't make it. Not on the entrants list - http://www.endurorally.com/pages/peking-to-paris-m...

Not that this season at least. I will wait until it has been on in the UK before dissecting it too much though as the episode is enjoyable.

Well, I just watched the Maserati episode, and I thought it was really good. No pretence whatsoever about wheeler dealing and selling the car for a profit, but an interesting project.

One thing I did find a little incongruous was when then went for a drive at the end, you could clearly see there were dents and dings in the passenger door. Since it had been off to the bodyshop to fix the ding in the front wing, I'm surprised they didn't fix that too.

I couldn't tell whether they were dents or reflections.

Perhaps more time spent on the install, rather that 5 minutes wasted with Mike cleaning up those seats. I record it now so i can simply fast forward the bits with him in it now!
