Maybe Mercury00 is a petrol head with an passion for cars, and not a slack-jawed, dribbling fanboy, grinning deliriously whenever Clarkson, et al, open their mouths.

If Mercury00 is, then he's free to trawl the cable channels for a show about cars (there's a reason they're on those channels, not terrestrial), not a general entertainment programme aimed at a broad audience.

A reboot suits me fine.

Lets face it nobody else would work with top gear in its currently format even if it ever comes back with bbc.

Not watched TG for some time now, I get nothing from the program apart from how quick rear tyres on Bemmers and Mercs can be shredded or how everyday cars can be wrecked by adding stupid extra bodywork etc
