On the basis that Top Gear as we know it seems to be all but over, what would people put in a "Best of Top Gear...ever" compilation?

I think I'd go for:
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz
E-type 50th Anniversary tribute
Lotus Exige v Apache gunship
Bugatti V Eurofighter
McLaren P1
The "Actually we still build a lot of vehicles in the UK" (where they lined them up along The Mall)
Aston Martin V12 Vantage - great car, great scenery, great filming, great music (Brian Eno "An Ending")

I laughed more than I should have at the White van man challenge. Especially when Jeremy 'employed' his illegal immigrant to help him load the van.

Build yer own caravan.

The specials abroad are good, except the Indian one, but I prefered the malarkey I the UK.

They've done some good stuff haven't they?

Nonsense like Elise's against Apaches has never done it for me. My favourites have been features about good, but relatively obtainable, cars. E46 M3 CSL comes to mind as a good example.

S2000/Boxster/Z4 in the Isle of Man
The last 1500 coupe challenge with the Nissan/Porsche/Ford
GT3RS/Superleggera/V8V N24 across Europe

And a lot more I'll think of later.

I think the best thing they ever did was the polar special but that doesn't really fit into a compilation.
