Well, can't quite believe the vote is more than 50% ,currently,"My Sundays won't be the same"
You can't believe that a massively popular, long running car related program has made no impact on the members of Pistonheads? Not entirely sure you are on the correct forum.

I agree with you. I quite liked Top Gear but even if it wasn't everybody's favourite programme it was at least motoring related and we as motoring enthusiasts are hardly spoiled for choice are we?
It does make me wonder how interested some Pistonheads contributors are in motoring and motoring related media content - other than to complain about it of course.

How interested am I in motoring ?
Interested enough to drive to Italy and back in one weekend to see a collection of Maseratis.
1800 miles in 50 hours.
No not a motoring nut at all !
I do not obsess over 10-12 hours of tv per annum.
Sorry. I wasn't having a go at you personally. I just think that there would be more support for a car themed show on TV on places like Pistonheads. As has been mentioned before, it is massively popular - so if people like us don't like it and won't watch it then who on earth has been watching it and maintaining it's popularity all these years?Interested enough to drive to Italy and back in one weekend to see a collection of Maseratis.

Us "motoring nuts" are poorly served by TV as a whole I think.
Anyway how was the drive to Italy? I have driven to and around France quite a bit but it does take forever to get anywhere unless you take the Peage. I have been thinking about driving down one side and returning on the other but my wife won't go far with me in my Elise!
No offence taken.
I've driven to Italy a few times now ,always on the Peage,so it's not cheap.
My sister has a holiday home near Lucca,Tuscany which I can stay in,for free, whenever I like.
Take a look at this from 2013

I'm going back to Sweden this summer but at my age, these silly long road trips aren't getting any easier.

Voting "what a pity my sundays won't be the same" is hardly obsessing, it means people will miss a TV show they enjoyed. Neither does it condone Clarksons actions either. Even as someone who enjoyed TG I don't think it couldn't have ended any other way after the fracas, doesn't mean I won't miss the fact there won't be any new episodes.Interested enough to drive to Italy and back in one weekend to see a collection of Maseratis.

He can punch who he likes ...but getting a "minion" to specially cook him his dinner= Knob
He was staying in a 'Hotel'. Not sure if you are familiar with the concept, but they do stuff for you including cooking food and so it is said, supplying 'extra pillows'. Getting the Polish chef to stay on an extra couple of hours for the stars of one of the most popular shows on television doesn't seem a big ask.7lucky7 said:

People who won't hear a bad word against Clarkson need to get out more.
I haven't watched a full episode of Top Gear for a long time.
I don't watch the news or read the papers to sate my appetite about him.
And I posted on here only because I was amazed that despite the saga coming to a conclusion, it's still being debated on yet another thread.
Question... Do you think it's healthy for people to be this upset about a TV programme? Or for that matter about a man they don't know and who couldn't give a toss about them?
Or, maybe, just maybe, are there more important things to worry about in life?
How ironic, you appear to be getting upset purely because some people enjoyed Top Gear and will miss it. I don't think that's at all healthy, maybe you should be concentrating on those more important things in life?I haven't watched a full episode of Top Gear for a long time.

And the BBC has announced that he is chairing "Have I Got News for You" in two week's time.
"Jeremy's contract has not been renewed on Top Gear but he isn't banned from appearing on the BBC," a BBC spokesman said.
So its not a 'as an employer we cannot accept people doing this' anymore as they will still employ him for other things. Now its just 'lets kill Top Gear for some reason'.
Bizzare.
