Just been offered 50% off for 12 month,

Original bundle £10.75pm

+ the family £18pm

+the movies £19.25pm

+the sport £23.50pm

This is what got me back the last time I reactivated my account,
So is this what your paying or are you paying £36? As the prices above are what you pay with sky as a new customer with only £6 off one of the packages.

That's the price he will pay if he accepts the 50% off offer?

Well they offered me a 50% reduction for 12 months but I have had enough. So many quality streams available now it makes no sense. Plus the Humax FreeSat box is very good.

Really? Any sources? Genuinely interested. Not being sarcastic. Some reputable retailers flogging them.

The other good news is I had my letter about the call structure change. So I managed to cancel my phone and crap fibre which I thought was stuck with till November.

He made the schoolboy error of getting into a discussion with them. Rather than saying that he didnt watch/use it and wanted to cancel (several times if needed), he proceeded to go on about the new deal, what services he likes, doesn't like, etc. which is like a red rag to a bull for the retentions team.

I was looking forward to my letter arriving, so that i could phone them and tell them to ram it.

Well it arrived yesterday, but it was to tell me my bill would not be going up. confused

Is this a change of policy?

i got the 50% off today aswell. went for it on my current contract to keep the legacy sky f1. could have gotten an extra £3 off if I dropped the legacy HD pack but I'd say F1 coverage is worth the £36 for the year.

Just in case anybody is interested, I just went to cancel my NowTV monthly entertainment pass (normally £6.99 a month) as I just bought a 3 month one for £13.50 on ebay and they are offering 4 months for £3.49 a month.

Depends what you want and are happy to pay for.

"What you get

Now TV brings an alternative solution to access channels like Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Sky Atlantic, and many others on a monthly pay-as-you-go basis instead. Among the channels you can access are Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, Sky Artist 1, Fox, Comedy Central, Gold, Discovery Channel, MTV, Disney Channel, Sky Sports and Sky Movies. It also includes access to on-demand content and box sets.

All of Now TV’s plans are based on its Movie, Sports and Entertainment Passes, which provide varying levels of access to different channels on a monthly or daily basis. Or you can buy bundles of these different passes, and add to them as you need. You can also use the Now TV box to download apps and basically turn any regular TV into a smart TV, where you can access sites like Facebook, Spotify and BBC iPlayer. The sports bundle gives access to all six Sky Sports channels, while the movie pass includes up to 800 movies, with four new releases added every week."

The other half tells me from experience you can pause a film on one device and then resume play from when you paused it on another device.

Sports seem a rip off at £9.99 a week, get a stream elsewhere.

When you sign up to a pass through NowTV you have to cancel it a couple of days later, otherwise you'll remain subscribed. Buy a pass off ebay and apply through a voucher code.

You can have 4 devices registered to one account and watch content through 2 devices at the same time.

I have Sky with HD Ent Pack + Sky Sports F1, also get my broadband (fiber) with them.

Not sure I could do without it now, xbox with skygo in second bedroom is a great - and the F1 coverage is awesome (the beebs coverage is mediocre at best these days), it even works on my smart thing when I go to the pub.

Fortitude and Game of Thrones also want to make me keep it.

Though it is expensive, and I think Freeview + something like NowTV/NetFlix do look like cheaper alternatives. All of the Sky content seems to be avaiable through NowTV, and seems well priced for PAYG.

The Sky Store / Buy and Keep thing are good too - though a touch expensive when no good offers are on.

Does anyone have any idea when they will introduce 4K?

Now TV is a Sky company.

4k is rumoured for later this year.

The Sky 3D channel is also closing and the 3D content is moving to a On Demand.

Got a letter offering 33% off for next 5 years (minimum 12 month contract). Appealing given the hassle of having to cancel every year if you dont want to pay full price.

just get on the online chat/phone them up and say "someone called me offering me 50% off but iv'e now received a letter offering me 33% Can you please confirm the 50% off is still avialable as I'd be tempted by that".

Worked for me a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone have a non premium number for Sky Customer Services that works?

I want to cancel, all the freephone and non premium numbers I've tried don't seem to be working.
