I think that 20% off for 10 months letter is going out to large numbers of subscribers, I got one today too and I haven't cancelled or threatened to cancel recently.

I finally received an offer having given my notice to cancel TV last Monday. A letter though the post offering me 20%off TV (not HD) for 10 months.

I'm feeling somewhat unloved with everyone on here seemingly being offered 50% off straight off the bat! The wait continues...
Make sure that you've allowed Sky to email you...seem to get offers much faster that way.

Have you had the 33% off (or something like that) for 5 years letter yet. Its billed as their 'best ever time limited offer' yet they keep sending it to me every month...

Na, don't think I've had that one, although I couldn't rule it out - Mrs tends to chuck stuff like that straight in the bin if she gets to the post first!

35% off any bundle for 12 months is the latest offer in MySky. Now doubting I have made the right move as to get F1 in HD I need to spend more or less what I was spending as I think this needs:

Family bundle
HD option
Sky sports

Which comes out at around £66 pre discount so £40. I would have Sky sports in addition to my existing package but I don't care about that.

I have now cancelled movies and sports with no offers or deals to stay. Tempted to cancel Sky altogether and use a mixture of Now TV, Freeview and my new Kodi box which seems to cover a lot of the content sky had.

Tried to renegotiate our contract today. Currently got HD, phone and broadband along with a discovery pack bundle and pay a whopping £75 a month. Best they could do was a 20% discount for 9 months which I said wasn’t good enough.
What are Virgin like as they have some very good deals at the moment including fibre b/band that Sky wouldn’t offer?

There are offers around for new customers to save 50% on any bundle for 12 months. I am going to see if they will match this.

I have everything at the moment (movies, sports, variety, 3D, HD) and have just finished a 30% off discount for being a 'loyal customer'. However at the start of May I'll be downgrading massively as full price is something like £70 odd and unless I can get it for half price or better for a year I'm going with absolute basic package plus sports and use Netflix & Amazon Prime. Even if it means cancelling and going without for a month until the offers floor in.

Thats what I tried but they were having none of it - saying when I was a new customer I had access to this and admitting that we are treated separately to the new ones.

You have to cancel. Then you'll get that offer by email within a week. At least I have. I'm wondering whether to wait a bit longer and see if they wil offer more.

Got 60% off and £100 credit last week after saying no for 3 months, I genuinely wanted to leave though.

Snap. Which would mean I could get to back where I started for the same cost as I would need to have sports to get F1 this time round.

Thanks westtra, haven't had anything other than a generic flyer offering 35% TV only for 10mth despite giving notice to cancel over 2 weeks ago. Still nothing being offered on MySky through the website.

Installed the App and hey presto - 50% for 12 months popped straight up beer. I was getting a bit jittery as with the pre-season excitement building I was loathe to actually have to cancel and potentially miss a race or two until I was enticed back!

I accidentally clicked the accept offer on the 35% deal (I was thinking you went through a chat / 'phone call first) then started chat and confirmed that it would still include F1 per my current package, they confirmed it did, albeit this contradicts the chat guy on my original call. I now have the full non sports / movie bundle with HD for £28 a month so I am happy.
