That's quite a discount!

I've just been offered sports and movies together for half price (£18 a month) for 6 months, with no contract. Still not tempted.
Yes, assuming a 12 month contract and you dont buy box sets, etc., 2 of the 3 bundles in my screenshot make you a bit of money, the other costs you a few pounds.
How long ago did you cancel to get that offer?

It says in the small print that it is for people who have left sky within the last 12 months.

The oldest bill I can access is December 2015 and that has no TV on it, only the phone and broadband (since switched).

Got the same offer today, 75% off and £100 bill credit. Top package is £80, reduced to £20 with this deal. Sports in HD was another £3 (50% off). I cancelled early October, was cut off last week, but now all connected again. No 12 month contract for me either, cancel at any time but the deal only lasts for 12 months. Can see this being popular.

I was going to ask them if there was a min term as it wasn't in the t&c. So the retention offer of 75% off and £100 credit is on a 30 day rolling contract?

Might as well go for it if that is the case as it means its free on the lower tier packages for 12 months.

My mum has Sky tv, telephone and broadband. It only took 1 short call to get her 20% off the whole package. Maybe I should have pushed harder?

Unfortunately should have pushed harder - not sure if there is a cooling off period on renewals.

When I called up 2 weeks again I was offered 30% off which I declined and cancelled with my cut of date being 31st Dec.

A couple of days ago got a letter offering 60% off- still seeing if I can better and fortunately have some time.

This was only on a the Sky Box Set Tv package which I think normal price is around £36 pcm.

I cancelled my Sports and Movies in June, or so. They also put me on a newer package so my monthly tv bill is now £44 a month - half what I was about to have to pay with their price rises (I guess if I cancelled everything it would be cheaper but my wife would have had a fit).

They did call a few times to speak to me - but I was ill in bed at the time and my wife refused to put them through to me hehe .

I noticed this weekend on the "your offers" bit of the website under my account now they've offered various inducements to switch them back on - none were generous. But now they're offering 6 months of what I'm missing for half price with no new contract. Or 6 months Sports at half price for the same period. If they offered 12 months I might be tempted.

Black Friday deals on sky.com might include half price for a Year? Not sure though.

Worth keeping an eye out for them. I'd certainly have a bit of Sports for 9 quid a month for a year.

I just looked and they are indeed offering it... Quidco are offering money back for upgrades too at the moment. Time to check the live footy schedules...

Well I had an offer for half price Sports for 9 quid a month for 12 mths and no contract. Today I thought "ok, why not" and logged in via Quidco, who would give me another 20 quid back on the deal. Go through to Sky and there are 2 options to upgrade to the Sports package - 1 with £9 a month, 1 without a price. Click on EITHER and the cost is still "half price" but £13.75, half of the full price of £27 a month! Looks like they just put their prices up. And their online chat is down. So I won't be bothering, again. Silly company...

So, has anyone negotiated any good deals since the recent new price increase?

I've just cancelled my package and am awaiting to see what they offer.

Im approaching the end of a year of the whole lot at half price

On phoning to cancel I was offered something for a much more limited time (3-6 months), cant remember what exactly, but read on here about checking your account via the box which was where I bagged my own deal.

My contract is up in July so will be looking at this in the spring. My BT broadband deal also ends soon so may look at Sky for that also.

Anybody using the Sky Q box?

£30 for the whole lot (Sports, Cinema, HD, Boxsets) for 12 months was the offer presented to me when I phoned up to cancel two weeks ago.

I declined, so far had 18 phone calls, 4 emails and 2 text messages from them trying to get me back (our contract hasn't even finished yet!) I've blocked the number now but can still see in my call history when they've tried to phone.

My very basic package was going up to nearly £50 a month which is ridiculous IMO.

Sky Broadband Unlimited £10.00
Sky Talk Line Rental £18.99
Original £19.50

The best I was offered by Live chat before cancelling was "£12.40 off the TV and £5 off the Broadband for 10 months in a 12 month minimum term. With the offer there’s a small Administration Fee of £10" (!?) so would be £34.09

PM B4gga83 on here, he should be able to sort you out with a good deal

He recently got me the full package, sports, HD movies documentaries etc for £35 a month (not including broadband) I think this may have gone up to £40 now but still an amazing deal and about half what i was paying.

If this link works there are loads of people he has helped out..

Damn, my linking skills failed. It is in the thread titled "i have just cancelled my sky contract" in this forum, shuld only be a page or two back if that...

Thanks, I did look for a more recent topic before responding to this one but couldn't see one.

So did you cancel?

I'm sure you will get a better deal from retentions.
