I called Sky today as my Broadband & landline deal with BT is coming to an end. They offered the following for £81.20 per month with a £158 setup cost.

Sky fibre max (super fast broadband up to 76Mb)
Anytime inclusive telephone calls
Line rental
Caller display

Sky Q box with multi screen
Sky mini box - to go with the Q box

Does this sound like a good deal?

This thread reminded me that a retention offer I got earlier in this thread must be about to expire. Checked My Sky and sure enough back up to normal price from this bill.

Time to do the cancellation online chat tomorrow. Any suggestions on the best deal I need F1 and Discovery, don't care about anything else.

That sums up Sky and to be fair most big companies. When / if you renew be sure to add a diary note to contact the bar stewards before the deal ends.

Good luck! thumbup

I did the dance last week.

Got 50% off my TV package for 18 months and £5 per month off my fibre. Saved about £50 per month all in.

We are looking at changing our BB and phone, or dropping sky.

We pay £43 a month for phone and broadband (Unlimited non fibre broadband, free evening and weekend calls, line rental) and sky pack is the HD legacy deal when i got it with F1, so if i change the pack i lose F1 type pf affair. My wife isnt keen on sky, as i am starting up my own business and cash is slow just now, and its mostly on her salary and she isnt a fan of tv, where as F1 and a few sky atlantic and disney XD stuff i would miss a lot as its my only sport i watch.

looking online i see sky are offering phone and BB for £26 reduced to £18pm for 18 months. However i cannot work out if this includes line rental, as if it doesnt then its not much better.

We only have basic broadband and sky packages yet we are over £900 a year.

If i moved to sky for all of it, would i be able to retain my tv package as is, but now be paying about £750 a year instead.

I recently paid £100 up front and now pay £80 pm for Sky Q with a mini box so I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

If you consider a grand a year for a line you wont use and get nothing but spam calls on, broadband, and 7000 chanels of repeats, heavily compressed hd signals and the loss of discovery a good deal... Then yes.

That makes a lot of assumptions which do not apply to me.

We use our landline all the time, mobile reception is rubbish here.

Spam calls are blocked by 'call guardian'.

The hd signal is good and we don't watch discovery.

You sound like you live in a hut without phones or television.
