Also just got home, very enjoyable 'brain turned off' entertainment as always. A good tribute to Paul Walker I think!

Saw it tonight, was impressed. A can of the series though the last couple have been decidedly 'meh'.

The Paul walker section at the end was very, very well done, tastefully. Oddly close to home for me as I lost my best friend in a car accident (not unlike Paul's) 3 years ago this month. Girlfriend was wandering why I was a bit shakey afterwards lol.

Would recommend it smile

Saw it last night, really enjoyable film, and the tribute to paul walker at the end was brilliantly done, absolutely hit it on the head, if you take the film for what it is, you won't be disappointed!!

Just got back, loved the movie, and also liked spotting some famous customs in the shots. At the end the packed theatre burst out with spontaneous applause. I have not heard that for a while

I was 12 when the first FF came out so they are simply a pleasure for me no guilt involved. It was much better than 6 and I can't wait to see it again. funniest bit was ludacris with wind up windows.

I predicted the final car for the Paul Walker tribute too. I thought that section was perfect.

Saw it Friday, thoroughly enjoyed it - though I went in with the mindset of its entertainment not a documentry.

I've enjoyed all of them so far, though Tokyo drift the least, not a fan of the main character in that. I'd like to think he was directed to be as he was, but having seen him in other things he just comes under the category of actors that make me want to throw stuff at the screen.

It was totally over the top nonsense and I loved it.

The funniest bit for me was when they cut in the old Tokyo Drift then turned the camera around and Sean Boswell aged literally 10 years in one camera transition.

The tribute at the end was nicely done. They explained his absence from any future films well.

Just got back from seeing this. Great full on nonsense movie. I like the way they just get on with the daftness and don't try to dress it with some kind of veneer of plausibility. None of its plausible, they know that and they just get on with it. Great stuff. Car sounds were awesome in the x plus at the showcase.

For all the nonsense and terrible acting though, the ending was perfectly judged and felt very genuine, like Vin wasn't acting at all (and he probably wasn't) just some salient words to say about a friend lost. They handled that extremely well and it was a proper sad-but-happy moment.

Very good. Rest in peace Paul Walker...

Saw it over the weekend, agree with the thoughts of the film being a little OTT but also agree that it's not shying away from its ridiculousness in places.

I was very impressed with the tribute at the end. Although part of me wishes Paul's character was driving an R34 GT-R.

I agree.

I also enjoyed the action, it was pretty relentless in a good way

Disagree, it all started with the Supra and that's where it ended. The one in the movie is PW's own Supra.

I took my son to see it at the weekend. Each one gets more and more silly but it's still entertaining enough if you leave your brain at the door. There was a cameo scene with the guy from TD. He looked about 25 playing a 17 year old in the original and looks about 40 now (playing a 17 year old)

Just been to see it. If you switch off to all the, ermmm, slightly impossible moments, it's a brilliant film.

The tribute at the end was a nice touch (my missus was in floods of tears!)

Surely that's it though? Or is 8 planned?

I agree, it was only fitting that they ended it with a Supra and it's nice to know that it was Paul's own car that they used. Thanks for the link.

Brilliant film, hilariously over the top.

Touching ending too, not as sad as people were saying though IMO.

Guessing there will be an 8, otherwise Statham would be dead.

Realised I never posted back after watching it.

Thought it was absolutely fantastic and whilst it may be a teeny-weeny, tiny bit farfetched in places; they've done well on this one.

The tribute to Paul Walker was nicely played at the end.

The amount of people (including myself!) who sat through the whole credits section, expecting a hidden seen at the end, only to be disappointed, made me chuckle though.
