Went to see it tonight, just as expected. Really enjoyed it. What's not to love abouts fast cars, guns, explosions and a few hot women thrown in aswell. The tribute was nicely done, get the feeling all the cast were adlibing their lines in the last scene.

I found the end genuinely sad and touching. Very fitting tribute, brought it all back to the beginning. That song will now remind me of Paul Walker.

I need to see this.

IF you want stty movies, get the SyFy channel, they show all the Asylum movies like "The Day The Earth Stopped" and "Transmorphers". Plus their own stty attempts are always good for a laugh.

F7 was the tits, they all are (apart from 2). I can't get my head around people complaining they're unrealistic. If you want a "realistic" car film, watch Born 2 Race, which is about as st and cringeworthy as it sounds.
Manborg is ste, but in a strange way, also delivers!

Anyone else think Nathalie Emmanuels's acting really stood out as being poor?
She does well in Game of Thrones, maybe the great acting by the cast of F&F made her look that way.

Hmm only that one scene with ludacris idd, could just be a poorly selected scene though or editing.

For those who have seen the movie, here's the soundtrack from the final song :
Wiz Khalifa - See You Again ft. Charlie Puth https://youtu.be/RgKAFK5djSk

Warning : might contain clips of the movie if you haven't seen it yet.

Warning 2: upon watching it again, some ninjas started cutting onions in my house. Beware.

On another note from what someone else said earlier, I can't believe that this is the first time they have used the real car noises in the film. That's madness when the film is about cars!

Saw it last night. Touching tribute to Paul at the end. I know someone who worked on FF7, so I will ask her what bits they actually shot and what had to be CGI.

As for the film, I didn't think that much of it. It was all over the place. I think the FF5 in Rio was out and out the best they have done.

Someone on here said FF8 is in pre-production and 9 in scheduled. Not sure I will bother going to cinema to see those.

I went to see it with a couple of my friends who hadn't seen any of the previous films. Impressed with how they wove parts of all the films back into this one, either through flashbacks or just quips.

Not sure if I'd go see an 8th installment though

They used real cars for the first one. Apart from the Eclipse which us actually a turbo'd Integra Type R. You hear it come on VTEC when they're being chased by the police after the first race biggrin

Enjoyable movie and a very nice tribute to Paul at the end.

Just one thing bugging me - what was the muscle car with the heavily dished rear wheels that was only shot from behind when the crew first returned to LA and were up in the hills overlooking the city? It was the silvery coloured one in the middle.

I said that, but got shot down on the basis she is only there for eye candy, and therefore is not important. That being said, it was really quite bad. Without spoilering, that scene in the wooden shack is terrible for her delivery.

Just got back from seeing it. Really enjoyed the first half but thought the second half dragged on a bit. About 20 minutes shorter would have been about perfect.

Loved how daft everything was though and that they all knew it.

This, very much so.
Much like the expendables, you can see that they're having a ball making the movie and don't take it anymore serious than they need to.
The rock cracking his cast open was pretty great as well rofl

Completely agree. Happy to watch 8 and 9 when they come out. Yes its a bit cheesey and certain bits are totally unrealistic but thats why i love it. Fast cars, women and action. What else is to like.

As someone mentioned i think 5 is the best movie so far with everything seeming to fit in nicely.

The ending was good and a great tribute to Paul. I noticed the CGI in the last few scenes but couldn't see where else they had done it.

IIRC there was about 15 minutes of footage to make up after PW's death. I think that the outdoor scenes in Abu Dhabi and also maybe some of the building jump scenes were made using a mixture of his brothers and CGI.

If that's the case it was bloody well
done. I only noticed it in the very end scene where they were driving off and that's only because I was looking for it.

Have just bought the album even if only for that one song.

too true, they're all having fun, they know it, we know it, and love the films for it. If I wanted a serious car film, then Truth in 24, otherwise, F&F series works for me
