21 fish is sort of believable, after all the emphasis on the group collecting the net I was almost expecting them to find a couple of piglets caught in it.

So Vic doesn't trust anyone who has a Southern accent.

Next day, a lot of emphasis on them having a 2 hr lie in (assuming they all normally got up at 6am) - low and behold, lots of rotten fish. I would have thought fish would have took longer than that to go off?

Seems to be heavily edited to suit whatever bland musings come into BG's head.

Finally, that cut didn't look severe enough for an emergency evacuation, medical treatment yes. Was the tendon cut? And what would be his treatment over the next fortnight at home compared to the island?

I might be coming at it from a slightly distorted point of view, given that I used to be an aquatic biologist and have been into fishing since I was a kid, but fk me they're useless. It's taken them this long to figure out how to use that gill net. It's long enough to use as a seine net. It hasn't occurred to them to use set lines, or to build a fish trap. They're reliant on the hooks they were given, they don't know how to make a gorge. They didn't seem to realise those off fish they left in the net too long would make usable bait.

I don't think the fish caught is set up etc as lets face it they're clearly on starvation diet! They've all lost loads of weight. Plus it's unrealistic to expect that that could be 'set up' - the producers would hardly have scuba divers at the ready to fit the fish in the net!

The programmes still a bit annoying, but I still enjoy watching it.

Why can't the producers just come clean and admit that as the women are close to starvation they have hidden some food around the island?
I can't believe the Scots vegetarian has only eaten coconut for the past 5 weeks.

I despair at the attitude of "we can show what women can do". After it took 6 weeks to figure out they needed to catch the fish and build shelter...?

Bear is eulogising as if the last 5 weeks haven't happened.

She's had nuts as well.

All of a sudden they had a base of a log cabin. Why didn't they and the men try that at the beginning.

BG was talking about them at the end of the show as if they'd been a revelation. He claimed we shouldn't stereotype women - well if that lot are anything to go by, women have reverted to type. They only survived because of outside assistance, and he ought to come clean on that.

After the big bust-up with the Scots bimbo, the way the women all became matey and the last week was glossed-over in seconds I wondered if they even finished the full 6 weeks. When the support guy radioed and said they were being taken off 'tomorrow' they all seemed a bit surprised, like they weren't expecting it. After the bhing and griping most of them would have been carving the days into a tree.

Noticed that myself. One minute the net (which they had 'found') was tangled almost beyond repair, the next it seemed to be a brand new net.

That said, it's all clearly been heavily edited to create a narrative so I doubt that all the footage that they show is in strict chronological order.

Overall though, the women look to have been a shambles. Completely rubbish at getting anything done and having to be constantly supported with food to the extent where it's bloody obvious and can't be edited out.

Indeed - someone somewhere else was saying that it's scripted and stage managed. I don't think you need to do that, you just collect lots of footage and then make up the storyline in the editing room.
