I would LOVE to know the truth behind the women's island. There's clearly a lot we didn't see.

I find it interesting that when the women were starving it was serious enough for a medical call and some suspicious pigs to appear.

When the men were "starving" there was nothing. And then suddenly the net just worked!

Manufactured drama anyone?

Supposedly the pigs were shipped in! Didn't know that.

It has baffled me how they haven't gone inland looking for food more! You'd think they'd want to see what was in there rather than trying to rely on fish and limpets!!

The Mail did a feature on this earlier in the week - the pigs were tame and shipped in and there were lots of complaints about them being killed for 'entertainment'. The mens' island's crocodile kill wasn't a Cayman but an endangered American species that is also causing the programme problems. They also had pigs on their island but presumably didn't find them.

There was a clip during Wednesday's programme that showed the men jumping on a pig.

The cameraman Will who fked his arm up last week is one of my closest friends and so I've been watching it very intently and chatting with him about it.

The men's island is very much as described but he's a bit cheesed off to see what went on on the women' island.

The men did catch another two of those endangered crocs and eat them, but they were only allowed to show one. They actually got detained in Panama and had to pay some serious bribes afterwards to be allowed to show the footage, but only of one kill.

Does he think the narrative presented in the edit is an accurate representation of what happened?

Out of interest, how is he? Was it tendon damage? Hope it wasn't. Looking at the fall, it could have been much worse frown

On the men's, yes. He's certain the women's has been manipulated to avoid them dying and making sh*t telly.

Quite severe tendon damage, thankfully all healed now given he's a cameraman and right handed. Was tough watching one of your best buddies get so emotional though, he was properly gutted to have to leave early.

Series 3: The Island: Mixed Gender

Can you imagine the utter carnage of shagging and arguments? I'd wager you'd end up with two camps pretty sharpish.

My feeling was that they could stitch together the footage to tell whatever story they wanted, so it's good that it was accurate - for the men's island at least.

Considering how inhospitable the place it, the humidity. Not sure we'd get any shagging.

Oh FFS. I've just caught up on the last fortnight's worth.

Baked beans 'left by a hunting party'. bks. Likewise the thing with the jerry can magically reappearing. And indeed the clearly half-asleep pig.

Oh, and the nasty injury to the guy's arm? Entirely Vic's fault. I was cringing throughout that entire sequence as trying to traverse those rocks was self-evidently a really stupid thing to do. Because macho!

Yeh Vics meltdown was odd. As his energy levels dropped, all that was left was the massive chip on his shoulder. He just couldn't hide it.

Saying that - I though he came across very well and a good honest bloke.

His: "I expected confrontation and battles here, but I never expected to learn something about myself" speech was pretty cool.
