Aha, that explains it. Thanks for the education.
I saw a fella on the news, years ago now. He was clicking away and figuring out what was around him, it was fairly staggering to see for the first time, with ones preconceived notions of what people are capable of!

Watch the whole of season 2 over the weekend (just couldn't stop)

Amazing! Even better than season 1 by some margin.

John Bethnal is incredible as Frank Castle... Just incredible.

Just do the month for free! Watch both series of this and JJ S1. You should get through them in 30 days no probs.

It's my connection. I rang BT yesterday over infinity, even though my cabinet has been upgraded, I still can't get it.

He has some sort of echo location, which isn't fiction. Blind people can teach themselves this, like bats.
Aha, that explains it. Thanks for the education.
Yes, echo location is a real thing. However DD has all his remaining senses heightened to superhuman levels (comic book levels.). He can smell the gunpowder residue long after the bullets were fired. He can hear and feel air moving around objects in the room. He can smell the metal the bullet cases are made of.

Same here, i kept saying to the wife "I'll just watch one more..." Finished watching them about 3.00 am Sunday, and as I was still awake carried on and stayed up for the F1 race.

This (and Deadpool) are how superheroes should be filmed. Some superb fight choreography.

Found it hard to get into Jessica Jones, didn't know much about her character before hand - maybe i'll give another go.

I checked the wiki page to refresh my memory (I was never a DD fan), DD has no 'super' powers but his abilities are switched to 11, to what people think might be possible, and maybe just a tad over what is beyond doubt. Just this week I watched an episode of Castle, where a character 'suffered' from hyperosmia. She was able to smell pheromones.
DD has all of these things put together.
In the wiki page they also mentioned that spatial awareness that high-level martial artists claim to have, which makes them so great at fighting multiple opponents.

Yeah, that's brilliant, there is probably no-one in the marvel universe more realistic, an ex-soldier nutjob who goes around with a tonne of guns.

I loved S1 and spent this weekend demolishing S2 - the quality hasn't dropped at all. One of the best things on TV in recent memory in my book.

That doesn't chime with other reviews, what makes you say it?
some of the fight scenes are a bit comical, 1 foot away punches.

the punisher is great but missing a central powerful boss like kingpin.

They've already explained AND shown how he "sees", just watch the series. It seems to be a mix of echo location, sound, air movement, smell, basically all his heightened senses coming together to form a picture that while not exactly crystal clear in terms of vision, seems to be more accurate then people who can see as he is literally able to dodge bullets.

This is how they've visualised it in the TV series.

The film had something very similar too except it was in blue.

Can't wait to start in on S2. Season 1 was the best TV I've watched in a long time, never mind the superhero genre.

I think the bullet dodging is partly his ability to build a 3D model of the gun's distance and direction, but also his ability to anticipate when the trigger is being pulled by the listening to the trigger and sensing the gunman's heartbeat etc.

Watched up to E10 last night. It just keeps getting better. Fingers crossed it can keep up the momentum. Without saying too much some of the criticisms earlier in the thread are answered directly.
With saying too much here's a massive spoiler. Remember what has been seen cannot be unseen. You have been warned.
