Multiple times. They were both members of the Justice league which is where the movies are heading. They fought each other in the Dark Knight Returns where Batman uses the robot suit he designed in case Superman ever turned against humanity.

I'm not sure that I like how they've turned Superman all God like. They have people on their knees. Superman is supposed to be the hope of man kind not thier ruler.

The trailer also makes it look like Batman is pissed off becuase theres someone else on the scene. Its all a little odd to me.

The animated movies were great.

I quite like the angle, if Superman were real I imagine a large faction of the popular would idolise him as a God.

I don't quite get this. Does this basically fk over any future Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman films? There appears to be no continuity there whatever, apart from he's called Batman and looks broadly similar in costume (as does David Jason). Even the bat logo is different FFS.

Nolan movies never happened in the continuity. Proved by Alfred also being a different actor (Jeremy Irons). Yet another total reboot of the character.

I for one welcome it. I never liked the Nolan movies beyond the first one and even that was pretty meh!

Not sure about the whole concept of Batman vs Superman though. Superman is just too powerful a character and it makes no sense to pitch him against Batman. This video kinda sums it up for me - although i'd be happy to be proven wrong.
