I don't quite get this. Does this basically fk over any future Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman films? There appears to be no continuity there whatever, apart from he's called Batman and looks broadly similar in costume (as does David Jason). Even the bat logo is different FFS.
What future bale films? I think Bale made it clear he didn't want to do more than a trilogy.
Quit while you're ahead mentality I guess.

Can't see why the huge fuss was made over the original post, agree on the 'proper' trailer but the 20 sec clip was just... Meh

Oh fair enough, I hadn't realised he wasn't interested. I only recently watch TDKR on a plane, and it seemed left open for another film, hence my confusion. I don't really know anything about film directing, but I like the style of Nolan's films from what I've seen.

That sir, is utter tosh. Whilst I will agree that his reputation is probably a little overblown he has given us some truly amazing films over the years and continues to at least try to create something new and challenging in the blockbuster genre.

I think richtea78's comment has some merit. Whilst Nolan's films aren't bad, they are nowhere near as good as the worship they attract suggests.

I'm not saying he's a bad director but he is overhyped. There are a lot of very good film directors but people really seem to get over excited about Nolan. Interstellar was ok but flawed, In my opinion he is not as good as the likes of Scorcese or Ridley Scott.

He's not Michael Bay levels of bad but I still think he was flattered by Bale and Heath Ledgers acting abilities.

Ridley Scott is an advert director. Scorcese is a different style, but Scott plays well to Nolan.
I think Scott is over-hyped, of his films I only like a tiny amount, and that is down to the actors. With Nolan, who is pretty similar, he hasn't made a film I dislike. I even like the one with an actor I dislike. biggrin

As bad as this film may be...it won't be as bad as the the one planned back in 2002.

Should be a good addition to the superhero genre.
