Great movie. Expected to hate it. Made perfect sense to me.

Although I absolutely expect this to be a happy accident. Snyder is nuts. Even a broken clock and all that... I just hope Affleck can take some creative control over any future movies.

Right then.

Affleck - best bit of the film, as good as, probably better than Bale.

Irons - Good too, him and Affleck make a good pair.

Heisenberg - WTF! OK so he's son of Lex, so I'd agree with what was said about him being a dot com rich kid. But did the casting for that ever go further than 'let's get the guy who played Mark Zuckerberg'?

Cavill - Superman to me is Christopher Reeve. Cavill looks the part but the Clark Kent isn't right, he's not nervous and clumsy as CK like Christopher Reeve, and I don't like how Lois Lane knows in this and MoS that CK is Superman.

Adams - OK. Maybe I'll wait for that uncut bath scene to hit YouTube hehe

Gadot - Yes, that worked. In the trailers I thought the outfit was a bit too Xena, still not sure but I'll go with it because I thought she did a good job.

The film - Too much going on, the Batman/Bruce Wayne/Alfred parts seemed like a different film to Clark/Lois/Daily Planet scenes. Better than Fantastic Four, but not by much, and mainly because of Affleck.

Oh and before the film they played the Lego Batman trailer. I want to see that. Why isn't it 2017 yet? smile

Totally agree, I was pleasantly surprised. Thought it'd be full of CGI as most of the Marvel output seems to be right now.

Went last night with my daughter. We both enjoyed the movie. Good Popcorn movie, turn brain off and watch.

Yes It took it's time to get into the movie. Ben afleck was good. I was hoping he would be better than my favorite Keaton but was not for me

WW was lovely

Still in the end enjoyed it

My OH is going to watch this today with a couple of friends, I'm usually a big fan of Batman, however I've no interest in seeing this one at all.

Interesting to hear what she thinks of it.

It's pretty good. Old bumchin's bumchin wasn't really noticeable. He was a good Wayne, good looking fella, kepy thinking I'd like to look like him when I'm his age. biggrin

Alfred was the best thing, he should have been in it more, he was the Jarvis to Bat's Tony, very good.

The worst thing about the film was easily Lex. FFS, miscasting is a hideous crime, and all that awful clunky exposition at the end, I started to get bored, felt way too obvious and shoehorny. 'why will we have to fight?'...'I've got a funny feeling in my toe.'

This is DC's Iron-Man, the film that kickstarts it off.

SO Batman has been swinging around for 20 years, that's pretty good...but does that mean he has dispensed with all his old foes? Please! For the love of Pete, no more Joker, the most overused character in the whole pantheon. Let. Him. Lie.

The fight was pretty good, and true to the comic, Bats wins! Made sense too. I thought the reason the fight ended was actually pretty good, and logical. Not weak in any sense.

The music that clunked on when WW appeared...bit cheesey? And all that meta-human st was shoehorned. I recognised most, but that cyborg?

Gal Gabot....oh hello....

There was a stuntman called Jimmy Hart, which made me chuckle.

The Batmobile was ace.

Wouldn't SUperman have felt the start of the explosion and at least attempted to save a few lives? Also, Lex throwing whatsit off the roof, good job Supes was close by...and we're back to Lex...ahh, he was the sts.

Yeah< I am aware that he'll pop up again, he's all over socialmedia. But because DC is so clueless, I have no idea if that is a shared universe.

Another question from BvS. In the dream Wayne was having, was that fella in the Iron-Man armour, anything from the comics?

That dream pissed me off. It was there mainly to create misdirection for the trailers benefit I think. I think it's meant to be the big bad they are setting up for the DCU, kind of like the Josh Brolin guy from the Marvel films.

I don't remember anyone looking like Iron Man in a dream sequence. When was this?

The double dream, he wakes up from the first dream still at his desk, and there's some sort of time-space hole open next to him, with a black guy with a red face mask, and a greater suit of armour surrounding...and he is reaching out and babbling something...I forget now but it's some sort of warning. It looked like armour to me, reddish. At first I thought it was the dead Robin, then I thought it was some sort of future fella, like Booster Gold. THen Wayne wakes up for the second time, actually this time and he's still at his desk as his surprise whips some papers away.

yes

One of the things I liked about this film was the lack of explaining. It accepted that if you went to watch it, you probably knew some stuff. I know a little about DC, not a great deal, but to follow what's going one one needs to pay attention and be smart. And it makes sense, it didn't hand-hold...right up until the very end, where is suddenly became very explainy and hand-holdy. let it down really.

Aha, that would be The Flash. His suit is red and gold so I can now see the IM confusion. He can basically travel so fast that he is able to break through the time barrier and travel in time but he usually only does this in extremis.

It's featured a couple of times in the Flash\JLA comics so it's probably going to tie in with a time travel storyline at some point although why they decided to throw it into a bizarre dream sequence in this one I don't know as no one apart from comic geeks will understand wtf that sequence is about.

Director vs studio wrangling by the sounds of it..

the 'ultimate R rated' cut is to come to Blue Ray soon enough,h has an extra half hour...sounds worthwhile to me.

An extra 30 minutes sounds like a long time and will have it clocking in at nearly 3 hours, some where complaining that it was already too long! Still I think it will be a purchase for me as I could easily spend another 30 minutes in that universe and if they add in extended scenes of Adam's in the bath then that'll be a bonus. wink

or any of her high heel'd outfit moments tbh ....
Or maybe more WW...I mean everyone is saying "wow what an impact, she kicks ass..." etc... I actually wondered why they bothered... made virtually no difference until right at the end..
