Never been a fan of Good Morning Britain since the demise of GMTV and itv's repeated attempts at recreating the thing they destroyed by trialling every colour available for the set and on-screen graphics until they got back to orange and stayed with it.

Nor the ridiculous site of all the presenters lined up behind the table and the introduction of mumsy BBC reject Suzanna Reid -

BUT, Ben Shephard is away (god knows where), the very gorgeous Charlotte Hawkins is on maternity leave, so itv have employed the services of CNN reject Piers Morgan to front the show with Kate Garraway and Reidy taking turns to co-host, and I must say...............it works!

Love him or hate him, Morgan has added some much needed zest, volume and controversy to the show. It's actually now quite a genuine laugh. Never thought I'd see myself writing that!

He was only doing it for the week.

He was absolutely hilarious because he doesn't give a toss if he upsets someone.

He was also his usual blunt/sarcastic/un PC self which shocked a few of his co-presenters.

This was the most recent thread that came up in a search.

Well, he seems to have found some hot water to jump into.

Totally out of order to doubt Meghan?

Or another case of trial by Twitter, and certain views now becoming unsayable?

I had found piers tiresome with his predictable outrage, but he got support during lockdown from being one of the view willing to ask arkward questions.

I wonder if this will push him into the wilderness?
