Hopefully he can pull of another Phoenix Nights.

Comedy's pretty dire these days...we could do with something decent.

There has been loads of great comedy recently.

Count Arthur Strong
House of Fools
Toast of London

some of the funniest stuff I have seen in years.

I appreciate it's subjective but anyone who doesn't laugh at least one of those needs to see a doctor!

Looks interesting but it sort of annoys me that they've used his name.

It's like they have to call every comedy he does 'Peter Kays ........' to make it successful.

When it was on the radio it was the funniest thing I'd heard in years. But when it was on the TV it was the biggest pile of ste I'd seen in years.

I thought it was dire on both radio and TV - seemed totally reliant on a daft voice as the main gag, which got boring very quickly. This might explain why I am not a Sarah Millican fan...

Each to their own and all that!

I pissed myself at every episode and have watched them at least 3 times. Just hope Car Share is half as good, but it don't think he will match Phoenix Nights, which I though was superb.

I laughed till I cried with the radio shows, I even went to see The Count 3 times on stage and it was just as funny. But on the TV - what were they playing at ? The big problem as I see it was that on the radio is was (almost, not quite) a monologue. The stage shows where pretty much the same, he talked as if there was no audience there. But on the TV it changed to be more visual, and they had another writer (Father Ted chap) and that ruined it.

That's interesting as I haven't yet listened to the radio shows - so I was coming to it with no expectations.

I completely agree with this. The radio shows are terrific. The TV offering was so dire that I couldn't bring myself to watch after the first two episode.

An absolute travesty.

Just watched it on iPlayer tonight - quite enjoyed it. Not sure where they can go with the script though.
