There has been loads of great comedy recently.
Count Arthur Strong
When it was on the radio it was the funniest thing I'd heard in years. But when it was on the TV it was the biggest pile of ste I'd seen in years.Count Arthur Strong

I pissed myself at every episode and have watched them at least 3 times. Just hope Car Share is half as good, but it don't think he will match Phoenix Nights, which I though was superb.

I laughed till I cried with the radio shows, I even went to see The Count 3 times on stage and it was just as funny. But on the TV - what were they playing at ? The big problem as I see it was that on the radio is was (almost, not quite) a monologue. The stage shows where pretty much the same, he talked as if there was no audience there. But on the TV it changed to be more visual, and they had another writer (Father Ted chap) and that ruined it. I pissed myself at every episode and have watched them at least 3 times. That's interesting as I haven't yet listened to the radio shows - so I was coming to it with no expectations.snuffy said:

An absolute travesty.

Any talk of a second series?
