I wasn't convinced with the first two episodes, but now I love it. Today's was hilarious.

Loving this so far, very good writing, very well acted. I just love the radio, fantastic playlist!! Guess the yr, all guilty of that in the car but best of all the ads. Has anyone heard the one advertising the college, so funny smile
Yeah, the college advert is funny. I loved the one in episode 1 too: (I'm paraphrasing here) 'Are you feeling rundown and depressed - suffering from lack of energy? Then you need a new shed, from The Shed Surgery!' smile
I've not really been watching this but my wife does.

I just happend to zone in for a second and I heard one of the adverts in the background about a new diet. It was something like " i can eat anything I want......as long as I avoid the things that make m e fat"

Very funny :-)

Discussing the Beyonce gig...

J: Did you have a date?

K: You're joking...my inbox has been barren for weeks.

laugh

Also loved the bluetooth cutting-out homage to Norman Collier. Genius!

Watch this with subtitles on - then no gem is missed .Some achingly funny stuff in background on radio and I loved the husband entering w***e sign which was almost subliminal.

I hope they don't make another series and it's locked away forever as absolute comedy gold a la Fawlty Towers

Eh? Two series of FT - 1975 and 1979.

Stand corrected, thought they'd run them in one series. Was only a nipper at the time.

I thought so too, until VHS and DVD's became available - it was soooo long ago.

Bought the boxed set and showed to my 11yo son - he laughed like a drain until the Major referred to foreigners (those beginning at Calais and the others on the cricket pitch). He was actually puzzled as to why anyone would say that. Still laughed heartily at the Germans though.

She plays the part of the mental 36 year old very well. Very subtle and convincing. You can understand how she hasn't got a fella and is the kind of nut job that lurks on dating sites.

All the episodes are worth re watching.

And there I was thinking comedy gold ended when Miranda finished.

I was also wrong about Peter Kay who after his last tour, I'd put down to having had his day.

Got to agree with this. Saw him at the MEN and it was a tired rehash of his other tours, with about 15 minutes of pretending a spade was a guitar at the end.

This has so far been a very welcome surprise.

This is an excellent series. The quips and the delivery are superb. The radio ads and the visual gags are amusing too.

Both of the main characters are acted fantastically well. Both of them are very convincing, especially her. They appear to be enjoying it too.

We also enjoy spotting the (local to us) locations.

Just caught an episode. Nice gentle humour in the best tradition.

Totally nonplussing for watchers anywhere else in the World, I suspect smile
