Yes... smile... plenty of obvious rear view mirror checks by both drivers for authenticity. Despite Vaseline on the rear screen.. smile

Have they used that Fiat I saw last night from the first episodes ? I thought a Bini was used earlier.

Did anyone else think it's an odd choice of car for a single bloke?

His job and character were nailed-on Insignia-man, for me, but perhaps the high roof and lots of glass of the 500L helped filming the inside of the car.

Yes from the first episode I viewed. Suspect they've deliberately put some vaseline over the glass to cloud the issue as detail seen through it would be a distraction. The rear screen is middle and centre nearly the whole programme.
Most likely, especially as it's clear in the interior shots, but it's one of those things I now can't help but notice. Anyway, that aside I am enjoying this and think Peter Kay is quite good at writing likeable characters
Yes, but added to that was the fact that he put it through a carwash last week and it was no better afterwards. That increased the annoyance factor no end!
ETA
Ah, apologies, I wasn't the only one to notice!

Isn't the point that he absolutely wasn't Insignia man? Insignia man would NEVER car share, nor would he fraternise with staff.

I think the vehicle choice was absolutely spot on for the character - its a tragic attempt at youthful practicalness!

I read an interview somewhere where they said they're being towed.
It'll be something like this:

You need to keep options open for the next series...

I know what you mean but it wouldn't really have been him, would it? If they do a second series, it will be her constructing some scenario where she moves in "temporarily" for some reason and ends up staying there.
