Bit disappointed tbh. I thought he was going to ask her to move in with him....
I liked that they didn't. His realisation in the car was a great payoff after the painfully awkward goodbye.

Actually I have wondered whether he is driving or not, if not it is really realistic and done well.
I read an interview somewhere where they said they're being towed.
It'll be something like this:
I don't think they'd be able to see where they were going if they were driving!

Guardian say the first episode got 6.85 million viewers, another 2.5 million on iplayer - making it the most successful sitcom premier http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/may/22/car-s...

Series 2 under discussion.

Maybe it will persuade people to stop putting out the dross we've seen in more recent years.

Love detail like this. PH at its best.

I really enjoyed the series but not sure it needs to travel any further as it was complete in itself.

Kays talent seems to be to recognise and recreate humour from the ordinary. I don't recall the last time I saw 2 characters so believable. I know people like the characters played but they couldn't play themselves on camera as these 2 did.

The one bit I did find hard to accept is that Kay looks like a fat, baby faced anorak who wouldn't be given a second glance by any of the women who seem to swoon around him yet in this program he is pussy magnet. He looks like the kind of guy you wouldn't want near your children without a recent fully stamped up CRB vetting available to hand, not the knicker dropping loves young dream he appears to be in this.

When I was at "Phoenix nights" live earlier in the yr there was a projected image onto the stage curtains, saying " Hearsay, Pure & Simple tour"

Nobody had any idea what it was there for, and then the last song played on last nights Car Share was, "Pure &Simple.

Connection or have I just to much time on my hands.

Loved it, original , different, clever with plenty of scope for a second series. I'm glad they didnt go for the obvious happy ending.

So there's hope for us all.

On second thoughts, looking in the mirror, they wouldn't be that desperate.

I don't think he was portrayed like that. I watched the whole series in one go a few weeks back so I am typing this from memory, but I think only two females were 'interested'.

Kayleigh's body language and attitude towards John change as the series goes on. There is a very clear progression in their 'getting to know each other' and then into 'friendship'. John is also the first too flirt with her, rather than the other way round.

The other tart from work was addressed in the programme. She is trying to shag her way up the ladder - John admits in the car he knows he would have no chance with someone like that.

A work of genius from PK- up there with Phoenix Nights. And I couldn't disagree more about the character he plays- he portrays him as a funny , decent and hugely likeable guy .

I do wish PK would forget the stand up; it may pay millions but having seen him once never again. Cliched and tired - and with an entirely uncritical audience. His genius lies in stuff like this . Funny , nuanced , moving and brilliantly observed and like all the very best comedy. not a second is wasted nor an opportunity missed (eg radio music , Carolgees reference etc) It's like a good episode of Coronation Street on speed.

Don't forget the woman in the TT while in traffic. It is highly unlikely that she would have been showing that much flirty interest in a fat man in a Fiat 500.
