ricky
We thought the same thing.

Then again, Ricky Gervais appeared to be a good actor, until it became apparent that he wasn't acting as David Brent.

Agreed. She played the part of the mental well. Who could live with those squeeks?

Don't forget the woman in the TT while in traffic. It is highly unlikely that she would have been showing that much flirty interest in a fat man in a Fiat 500.
You got me. Fair enough! Forgot that one.

The mind boggles. Even if you find her physically attractive (and they had given her an odd hairstyle and make-up), her character was mad as a box of frogs, and not in a good way...

Very funny though.

If you have ever lived with a red-head you will know they tend to make those squeeks from time to time and act slightly loopy anyway

Did anybody else notice that some of the outdoor scenes at the 'supermarket' were around the various shops at the retail park in Broad Heath, Altrincham?

Yes, we did spend much of the programmes location spotting...

Excellent series - glad they didn't buckle and go for the happy ending.

On reflection it reminds me a lot of the better Victoria Wood stuff - just good observational comedy well presented without over-egging it (see almost all other sitcoms). Thirty minutes is a good fit too - not too much but easily enough time to tell a story.

Recommended this to some people at work and they all said it was crap. Miserable lot; they are all engrossed in Britain's Got Chavs.
Time to look for a new job? hehe
