Looks like I'm going to have to watch this after all - a mate of mine has been cajoling me into it as her daughter is in it.

I didn't see it last night and missed some of the first series so I'm going to catch up over this week. I loved what I saw in the first series

"This girl clearly isn't Downs!"

Apart from the fact that it was poorly acted, poorly scripted, poorly directed, the sound was poor, I couldn't make out what the characters were saying, the things that I think were meant to be funny weren't and the subtitles didn't work on catch up and I turned it long off before it had finished.

Well, apart from that, I thought it was a load of Northern rubbish.

This has me in stitches - and, given other brands of comedy-crime-drama, it's really appropriately paced.

Only a theory, but I spotted it a few weeks ago and now it's screaming at me every episode. It will probably ruin the rest of the series so don't read it.

Two (or was it three?) weeks ago when the they thought they had a leak and it seemed to be the child protection officer I thought it was the senior officer played by Sarah Solemani I still do. She was there when they came up with the flea story in the custody suite, she moved the investigation of the child protection officer 'upstairs', and she was quick to suspend her. That's how the crime family are one step ahead.

Sorry for tempting you.

It zips along too fast, and crucial parts of dialogue are completely incomprehensible. Last night we rewound four times when the boss-lady was saying something along the lines "go and find out who and where roland is". On the fifth time we resorted to subtitles.

And crowd scenes are (the protest last night, the riots a week or two ago) are always comically cheap and unbelievable.

But i still like it.
