I've never seen IM as a physical character. If his suit broke, Cap would rip him to bits

Yep, 5/5 stars in Empire, who I normally agree with.

Very excited about this film!

I was out with one of the critics from Empire on Monday - she didn't see the film (was with me!) but said the people who reviewed it would only have rated the first Iron Man around 3 stars. She was very keen to see it given their rating of 5 as a result!

Forgotten all about this.

My own top 3 MCU films are; GotG, WInter Soldier and Iron-Man. No particular order, Ant-Man is just outside.

I doubt very much it will be Hugo Weaving again even if we do - I read that he hated the role because of the faff and time taken with the make up.

I was woefully underwhelmed by Captain America. I think I watched it on the plane on the way to the USA. I am not sure what made me watch Winter SOlider, but glad I did.

What do MCU ppl here make of Captain AMerica (film).

I came to the MCU quite late, a bit after the release of The Avengers, and I've gradually worked backwards to see the earlier ones.

I watched First Avenger a few weeks ago for the first time, having watched Winter Soldier last year. FA was watchable enough - and it didn't hurt that I'd seen series 1 of Agent Carter and have a distinct weakness for the delectable Hayley Attwell - but I much preferred WS.

I'd forgot it was called First Avenger. WS is just an outstanding film, different league.

The First Avenger isn't a bad film. I think they hold together well as a pair, the first does a good job of setting you up to see "our world" in the second film from Captain America's perspective.

Looking forward to Civil War!

First Avenger was ok. It's one of the weaker MCU films along with all the Thor movies and IM2 and 3. They aren't bad films though in the way that BvS was a bad film.

Sometimes my local one don't allow you to pre book 2D as far in advance.

Is at an Odeon? Ours had a habit of doing this for big midnight releases, they would only put the 2D showings out later during the normal booking period.

They've seen sense now, presumably after Star Wars where 2D bookings filled up way, way quicker than 3D. Civil War has 3 simultaneous 2D screenings at 00:01 whilst 3D only gets 1.

Marvel have stolen the big DC ending. Everything is forgiven when Iron Man and Cap realise they both have a best friend named James.
