Would love to see Thor go toe to toe with Hulk. Probably from a long distance though

Over the years the comic book Hulk has been elevated to planet shattering strength, which was not always the case. We don't yet know if the cinematic universe is going to go that far. I guess they'll make him "as strong as the plot needs him to be".

On the other side to that, Thor has been known to hit someone so hard with his hammer it created a black hole. So it would be pretty interesting to watch.

Watched this last night, very enjoyable. I have to agree that some of the scenes were excellently done, the motorbike grab I liked very much.

Also, I haven't watched Ant Man, but I will now, great character and when he went supersize I thought it was ace.

Am I the only person here that thought Captain America: Civil War was no way near as good as Batman vs Superman? I just thought this film was lukewarm.

You aren't alone, a couple of friends who saw it also thought it was meh and one of them is a big comic fan. He thought is sagged way too much in places and places it below AoU.

As for Thor Vs Hulk, you guys realise they have already thought right?

I think Hulk gets naturally stronger as he ages.

HUlk versus Thor in a proper all out fight would be good.

I believe both Hulk and Thor were out of the comic book story as well, Hulk had been betrayed by his friends and shot off into space, and Thor...was dead I think...is dead...not sure.

If the rumours of Hulk being in the next Thor movie are true, I'd be willing to bet their initial encounter will be a bit explosive. I don't think Marvel would miss an opportunity for a rematch to continue on the "friendly rivalry" which started in Avengers.

I think the only way this film could have been better would be to have Deadpool in it, there were certain scenes I felt his style of humour would have been right.

My group of friends, 1 out of 4 of us preferred BvS. He thinks that the Marvel stuff is too flippant whereas I think DC is much too dark and grimy. I like the joke humour in the Marvel ones. I do think there are glaring errors in the way BvS told the story but someone pointed out we've had 10+ Marvel films and only 2 DCU ones so the characters are bound to be be less developed.

What irritated me most about BvS was the way it was edited, or should I say hacked to death on the editing suite floor by a blind chimp.

First 5 minutes.

How thirst would Scarlet Witch be after that coffee.

I like both film franchises, I have no bias. But it is by far obvious that the quality Marvel has far outstrips DC at this stage (some Marvel efforts are mediocre, but the best are sublime). I am getting a whiff of desperation from DC, playing catch-up, utterly the wrong tack to take here.

Yeah, DC are trying to catch up in the space of a few films building up to the Justice League to what Marvel have been doing since Iron Man and Ed Norton's Hulk in 2008 (or possibly before, but I think these two are the start of MCU. Yes I'm ignoring Eric Bana's Hulk), including the TV series like AoS and Agent Carter, and mentions are made of the film events in the Netflix series too like "the big green dude and his crew" in Jessica Jones.

This just goes upto Ant-Man

So you end up with things like WW opening the email to introduce a bunch of stuff.

DC fked up by not tying in the TV series better. Should have made better use of the Flash and Arrow. I'm less bothered about recasting Deadshot but the Flash was good IMO

Yep it feels to me like Marvel actually have a cohesive plan for the films and TV shows which all tie together.

DC having seen Marvel making money, hand over fist just seem to want to cash in quickly and take short-cuts to do it. Having said all that I've actually enjoyed both the new DC movies. I'd agree they are not up there with Marvels best but they are above a lot of their mediocre output IMO.

DC don't tie into the TV shows at all - they have been pretty clear that the TV and movie universes are totally separate entities unlike the Marvel stuff which all takes place in a shared universe.

That's a mistake IMO. It is jarring.
