Looks pretty bad, like a cross between Ugly Betty and Man of Steel.

First impressions aren't great to be honest.

1) As others have mentioned, it looks less like a series about a superhero and more look like your typical American comi-drama which probably means there will be too much emphasis on that touch-feely relationship crap that appeals to teenage girls but holds no interest for me.

2) Online pics of the costume have revealed that once again they've gone for that toned down, subdued colour that was used in Man of Steel. They like to think it looks dark and moody but I just think it looks like it needs a few good spin cycles with some Ariel Colour. The actor and costume just aren't sexy enough, especially for those who remember how good Helen Slater looked in the original movie.

I've just realised, they've made a PC Supergirl series. A brave gamble considering it will probably alienate 90% of the nerds who usually watch this kind of superhero stuff, maybe they are hoping they can pull in the Twilight crowd?

Looks like "Comics for Girls" TV but i'll watch the first couple of episodes - it will probably be all teenangstsy

I like the look of the new TV series based on the Limitless movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAZpdTR1mTY

I'll give it a shot... but if its like smallville (and I got a reminder watching that) it'll be 20% good fx and story and 80% teenage drama

Yup, even the music is clearly designed for teenage girls.

The girl is quite hot though.

Thought it looked quite fun and lighthearted, bit like the current Flash series. I'm in smile

Sorry, didn't get that vibe at all. The Flash is firmly aimed at comic\superhero nerds which is fine because I am one, this looks like it's aimed at teenage girls.

Is it? I'm not one of those in the slightest (closest I came to comics was the Beano) and I quite like it.

The nerd bit was a bit of a tongue in cheek reference to the fact that The Flash is basically aimed at blokes. It's classic male wish fulfilment, geeky nerd gets hit by lightning, gets amazing powers that turn him into a hero. Heavy on action and light on emotional hand-ringing as opposed to Supergirl which appears to be aimed at girls evidenced by

office politics, check
dating woes, check
emotional angst, check
Hannah Montana power ballad theme tune, check

I could be wrong but from the little I've seen, I don't think I'm the target audience.
